RosinaKiwi Posted March 23, 2008 Share Posted March 23, 2008 ok so last friday...as well as being easter friday...it was also the day of the vernal equinox (spring) but over here it was the autumnal equinox (being that it is almost autumn) and Naw Ruz (Persian new year for 164 BE) Naw ruz was the day that we broke fast...But im not here to talk religon Naw ruz is a day of gift-giving, celebration and being with friends and family. of course having just broke fast fruit, cakes, coloured eggs and other treats are enjoyed so come...lets have a great big party! together we celebrate unity... I thought this would be a great idea since we are all from different part of the worlds and that even though we are all differnt cultures and religons we are but one kind and all share something in common...this is like a second home for all of us...lets celebrate that "We are drops, of one ocean. We are waves, of one sea, Come and join us, on our quest for unity. It's a way of life for you and me!" come on in... dance bring some great new foods Dolma Javaher Polow sweets accepted bring a chair or sit on the floor! bring whatever you want....just come on in...make yourself at home, enjoy multi cultural company...most of all HAVE FUN!
