should i try and add my 50 cents ? hell why not i agree with jack (what a surprise) that on a public large broad-banded private-ruled forum with mods to keep things civilized, freedom of speech is already biased. and that's normal, using the arguments she used about racism or anything else people wouldn't talk about those topics spontaneously. that's called self-censorship, and in the statements of the forum, it's mentioned that we can't talk about that, and that's called censorship. once again : NORMAL. so freedom of speech isn't really the point here, cause the fact is that unlike those topics, mika's sexuality isn't self-censored since people want to know and ask about it all the time, which ends up in long long threads in which everybody fight (shortcut, exageration). because everybody don't agree about the answer to the question (which we'll never have, did i already say that). would be too simple. the point of the hypothetic poll (vote) would be to find out the proportion of people that would be shocked about conversations/threads about the sensible subject to see how strong the moderation toward these threads should be. and what really is the problem about it : just the fact that people talk about it OR the fact that people assume one of the possibility is the "bad one". the point wouldn't be to "reduce" freedom of speech at all. that's different. and we'll never say it enough : if you're not interested about something in a thread, don't read it, don't post in it ! and let people discuss about it if there is their fun ! that, you can do, and it's not self-censorship, it's self-control we haven't said it enough, being a mod is a hard thing cause they have to cope with everyone opinion, and i truely think it's something good that FD and some others consults the "public opinion" before making a decision... that's the best way to deal with the private-forum-implied censorship we can't suppress. about the mika-privacy thing, we have experimented enough fight situations to realize that we need some artificial barriers, cause we're too divergent to self-censor ourselves : proofs in the 19467 previous threads dealing about it... so the poll/vote is not such a bad idea, so the newbies know exactly what they can discuss or not, we had also a lot of newbies saying they didn't dare to post their threads cause they didn't know how it would be welcome... signed : a non-carer and pro-freedom of speech

oh thank you !! if you find one of her songs i hungarian, i would be please to have the lyrics ! what do you want to think about her past ? she's the daughter of a preacher and used to sing at church... she had to start somewhere ! and i didn't listen to her old songs (maybe later) but christian doesn't mean bad, and what she's doing isn't bad either and non-christian... let's say she's grown up and had new experiences she writes about ! about the lyrics, for me, they don't mean anything else than what it's supposed to mean : stories about life. but maybe you weren't talking about me in your "than you"

i think this is the less "biased" we can do (well, this is the less biased i could come with...). and i didn't aim to orient the poll only to his sexual orientation, but to everything in general... i don't care either about his siblings... no offense to any of them of course, but i doubt they care about mine so it's all good so sexual orientation, sibblings, the 3rd option would mean we could discuss about them if we're pleased to but under close watch from the mods without censorship...

once again, really sorry for you downunderers... but it's a festival... there was quite a huge risk of cancellation without any chance of rescheduling !

yo fred ! i don't think "we" are unhappy to talk about his sexuality... i think people who are unhappy are unhappy because it automatically tends to try and FIND an answer we will never have, AND because one of the 2 possible hypothesis is considered as "the bad one"... i personally don't care about the answer neither people discussing the topic if they're pleased with it, it's a free world, hence my 3rd proposition for the hypothetic poll i won't create. but i will continue and say when i don't agree with stigmatizing one of his possible orientations.
