  1. Maybe he didn't intend to say chicken, but right at the very last second his mind turned to chicken and it came out as chicken, or chicket. Oh you know what I mean.
  2. I'd make him sit in the back so I could perv at him sneakily in the rear view mirror
  3. People, (I sound like Dermot O'Leary ) it's CHICKEN. He aint got no chicken, and he wants us to know. It is!!! Why would he say chicket?? There is no such word!!! I hear no 't' at the end.
  4. That's amazing. People are still buying it, it's one of those real word-of-mouth albums I think. Not bad for an Annoying Anti-Icon whose voice makes people's ears bleed... Looks as if Relax will stall before the Top Ten though, spoiling Mika's Top Ten run.
  5. One year and one day ago, on mikasounds, the Grace Kelly clip on the album sampler. That was when the spell was cast and the insanity began!
  6. You really don't want to read my mind right now.
  7. You are probably right!!! It often goes like that in this country of ours. It's as if certain people have to endure years of ridicule and even hatred as a kind of test to see if they are ultimately National Treasure material. Sir James Blunt and Sir Jamie Oliver ultimately, too, then. We Brits are weird.
  8. It's chicken, it has to be chicken, I have announced on my blog that he says chicken, I can't go back on that now or I'll look like a fool:mf_rosetinted: So I will not entertain suggestions of ticket!
  9. That's truly the most pathetic Mika 'article' The Sun has invented to date!
  10. No, I don't like her either. Her success is a mystery to me. Yes she is good-looking and sweet, but she's *whispers* very limited talent-wise, in my opinion. But, plenty like her, so who am I to judge. *runs away*.
  11. I think SATs are a waste of time; I'm an ex teacher, I got out before SATs and I'm thankful for that. Now, I hate that my kids have to do them. They exist to give the government feedback for their mindless lists, no other good reason. As others have said, your school may use them for setting purposes in KS4 but the results shouldn't prevent you from entering any GCSEs you want to do. If you are worried, why not have a chat to a teacher about them? My guess is, most teachers don't rate them as important and will be sympathetic and should be able to explain to you what the results will be used for within the school.
  12. I'd say that was highly dangerous!!! Especially with Russell. Or very smart, depending on how you look at it... I'm making Mika a velcro shirt, if anyone wants to contribute:mf_rosetinted: Phase One of my masterplan.
  13. Marilyn, I have submitted a comment. You know you can usually rely on me It's on a different tack to yours but I know it will hit at the heart of a lot of arena readers Edit: Who is Alan Wolseley? Is that your pseudonym Marilyn?
  14. :roftl: Christine what's wrong with you these days, you've gone all soft on us since London. LOL.
  15. I agree with everything you say here. Originality is never widely accepted, otherwise I suppose it wouldn't be original. Yet, most of Mika's detractors make the point that Mika is, in their opinion, anything but original: a 'thief', a copyist, a cut-and-paste rip-off artist, a bad Queen tribute act, Leo Sayer, all of that rubbish. Whereas, I can't see the reasoning behind any of that. To me, and to you, he IS original, not because he is making a revolutionary new form of music no-one has ever heard before, but because the sum of his parts adds up to something unique. We can see that, but many can't, and probably never will. It doesn't anger me so much as it fascinates me, that opinion can be so divided.
  16. Ant and Dec? Can't agree with that either. They certainly aren't 'witless', in fact I think they are very funny and great broadcasters. Peter Andre? Seems like a nice guy. I guess it's just fashionable to pick on certain people
  17. Beats me why any sane person would want to hancuff themselves to a celeb, but whatever turns you on. I suppose at a push I might velcro myself to Mika after a few pints of vodka, but that's just my project for 2008
  18. I hate the NME because of the way they are always trying to stitch up Morrissey. I love Morrissey and I know he can be a naive idiot sometimes with the way he says things, but that doesn't excuse the fact that the NME have been trying to make him sound like Adolf Hitler for the past 20 years. They are pathetic.
  19. Maybe that's part of the reason for his big success this year - he has his own niche, he's unique, stuck in the middle suits him just fine!
  20. Seriously though, what is it that gets up people's noses so much about Mika? It surely is NOT just that he sings with a high voice, which some people don't like. What is it about him that so many people loathe? It interests me, as a psychological issue. The idea that someone, like me and all of us here, can find him so incredible, and yet the next person can find him loathsome. Why is that? I ponder this a lot. *ponders* You can say, it's a matter of personal taste, but that seems too simple to me. There is something else. And I still thing ultimately it boils down to envy.
  21. The power of the male falsetto, eh? It makes people invent utter b******t sentences like the one above!
  22. Jealousy again. Women like him. My 9 year old daughter fancies him.
  23. Shame he's not with Liz anymore; SPEW Grant and Liz HURLey - it was vomit perfection!
