Totally agree about the positive aspects of all this. I was borderline depressed Before Mika and now, I swear I laugh my head off every single day and feel more positive about most things. Plus, the swooning does WONDERS for the old hormone levels at our age don't you find???????? Not to go into too much detail, might embarrass the younglings. :roftl:

This thread is making me feel really sad.. I am actually dreading the day when I come back down to Earth. I'm still 'there', probably because I still haven't seen him live (but only 43 days to go). For me it's been a long slow drawn out thing, I've really bided my time as far as getting to a gig is concerned, and I so I still have all that to come and thus can't see my infatuation ending anytime soon. In some ways I wish it would GO as honestly, it's ridiculous; I am 38 and I have a Real Life and this damned obsession gets in the way. But I'll be really quite bereft when it eventually subsides. How exactly did I let this happen to me - I used to be a sensible person!!!

Wherever Perez goes, mention of Mika is never far away, it seems! Perez doesn't need to 'out' him for there to be a general public assumption there. I understand what you mean with the gay thing. This is exactly what Mika says he wants to avoid, ie being known only by his sexuality (or 'assumed' sexuality, I should say...of course, we don't really know). Well I'm dossing on my friend's floor for the night - if I were staying at my own house I could put you up (although that would have meant me driving)but I don't think I can really put on my friend any more... You could try the Travelodge in Manchester - there is one on Blackfriar's Street which is very central, although opposite side of town from the Apollo (but near taxi rank). Apollo is prob best reached by taxi anyway, it is walkeable from city centre but if the weather is bad... I'm really not sure about hotels near the Apollo. I don't know that end of Manchester too well. Just the Salford side really.

EP = Extended Player. Bigger than a single but not as big as an album (which in the pre-CD days used to be called LPs = Long Players). An EP has 4-6 tracks on it (typically). Ooh the days of vinyl 12 inch EPs...I feel old

I agree Christine. I've tried to like it, and as you say, Mika's contribution is fine, but it's the rest. To me, it sounds rushed, as if AvH didn't really give a t***. I think this is the version on the album though, unfortunately. Don't know that for certain but I did see an ad on TV for it and I saw 'Mika vs. Armand van Helden' on the track listing. I don't think there is another mix of it. That's it whether we like it or not!

Got my hearts!! They are great, not too big for earrings in my opinion ( I have strong lobes) but as earrings I think they'd give me headache, all that flashing near my head...! I think I may lose one to my daughter tho' (and maybe my son too!). Silly me forgot about the discount code. Oh well.
