  1. I didn't see it either . I think it's great that some MFCers managed to get there. It was a surprise to see them, and one couldn't help but think 'oh, nobody mentioned it ' but not in a bad way. Well not me anyway and I hope nobody else thinks that way.
  2. GREAT! Can't wait for that!! Yes she sounded great. I bet Mika enjoyed listening to her. 1. Yes he does seem to embue the Rain lyrics with a certain emotion doesn't he . 2. I am not a fan of the dancing either, I'm really not ! But as it's Mika, he sort of gets away with anything doesn't he . Aww. But what was that robot dancing all about. He looked like Peter Crouch (only shorter ).
  3. DON'T listen DON'T listen to anyone else, all you gotta do is be yourself!!!

  4. I loved it when Jools said at the end, "That's some dangerous dancing, don't try that at home!" hahaha! I was hoping before for some pure acoustic stuff tonight but in the context of the line-up for the show it wouldn't have fitted, although if it's true he also did PUOTF I absolutely can't wait to see that on the full programme .
  5. He can't help it if he's a Boob Man . In my experience pretty much all men - regardless of sexual orientation - have a boob fixation. My son's only 7 and he is already bad.
  6. Funny you should say that about I'm Falling/I See You, but I get that same impression when he sings Rain. I saw it in him at Sadler's Wells, I was really struck by it actually . Whoever he wrote that 'letter' to hurt him bad
  7. I'm hoping Mika does something a bit different on Jools tonight. Not WAG, basically (not even the acoustic version tbh). I do think he has flogged that enough now. I suppose he will have to do BIOTG . However I'd love to see him do a pure acoustic (just piano, no frills at all) Good Gone Girl, or Blue Eyes, or even Pick Up Off The Floor. Or maybe Rain, although I'm not really a fan of the acoustic version of that: too whiny . If he can't showcase his acoustic talents and voice on something like Jools Holland, then when can he?? I don't want to see him bounding around on this show . There's a time and a place. I kind of feel we just don't see enough of Mika at the piano these days. I miss the days when he would just sit there and play My Interpretation or Love Today or even Grace Kelly with nothing but voice and piano.
  8. It changes all the time, but generally: 1. One Foot Boy 2. Rain 3. Touches You 4. By the Time 5. Lover Boy 6. Pick Up Off The Floor 7. Blue Eyes 8. Toy Boy 9. Dr. John 10. Good Gone Girl 11. I See You 12. We Are Golden 13. Blame It On the Girls I'm also going to admit to having days when I don't like any of the songs, and days when I love them all . I'm not sure what to make of that really .
  9. Is he still not very popular in Portugal?? It's the impression I get, but I dunno, as I haven't been over there for a while now.
  10. Believe me, if I were young free and single, I'd be there. But I just can't make it to Portugal in April. I will try and convince my friends in Lisbon to go, though I fear they are NOT Mika fans .
  11. What???? They changed the venue to Campo Pequeno? That's huuge!!! I wish I could go. edit: although I liked the idea of the Coliseu, a bit more intimate..
  12. Don't be sorry, you've been amazing, staying up so late (early?) to record it all etc etc. Thanks. And someone else will have Poker Face I'm sure.
  13. Me too, and I am a very fierce critic of Mika's cover versions. I generally really dislike them (Satellite being the shining exception). But this was totally Mika, he made it his own (sorry to sound like Simon Cowell there ) and what's more it worked, completely.
  14. I have always disliked Fearne but she has earned a few brownie points today by being nice to Mika, but I wouldn't bet against her going and bitching about him behind his back, even so .
  15. Aw this is the version he did at Blackpool, it's much better than the version he does when he tries to replicate the studio sound.
  16. He hates taking off his clothes?? That'll be why he's been taking his kit off on stage since 2007, then
  17. Love it when he does that. He builds up this fantasy world and then when he gets people drawn into it (against their will, maybe) he turns around and says "It's not REAL you know" He is a genius, a genius I tell you!
