He does have exactly the same build as Mika, just less matured, if that's the right word (that makes him sound like a piece of cheese...hehe) Well his hair looked bushier in London from what I remember, so a) it IS him, with a haircut or b) it's some other dude with the Mika body shape .

T4P Miro She reckons We Are Golden sounds like High School Musical? That's not what I wanted to hear..but I'm sure it'll be good nonetheless. This journalist strikes me as something of a Mika sceptic but nothing wrong with that; at this stage of the game I'd rather read balanced reviews from more or less neutral observers/listeners, rather than a load of gushing ones from the already converted, as the former are more telling .

Merci I love to hear his French..still find it funny how one minute he can sound so fluent and then the next he struggles for a fairly easy and common verb such as 'create'... I can so relate to that! For those who would like to know what he says in the first part: he is talking about the EP and how he made it to relieve the pressure of writing for the second album, but how he conceived it as a slightly odd project which was only ever meant to be released in limited edition, for a few thousand people, without having to worry about radio airplay, or performing the songs in big concerts (the songs were specifically written with small acoustic () concerts in mind)... So nothing new. Haven't watched the rest yet but I doubt that's anything new either..

I think he was spotted on a flight to Toronto, by some random Twitterer. So odds are he is in Toronto, or WAS. But other than that he seems to have gone AWOL. I am just disappointed we didn't get to see a Mika Outfit .

I feel like such a hypocrite today..the reason I stopped following Perez on Twitter was because I couldn't stand the daily onslaught of drama-queen tweets. Now, I am loving it Seriously, I do hope he wasn't badly hurt, but...listening to Will's account it sounds suspiciously like Handbags at Dawn .

So Sept 21st is now the release date for the physical CD. I wonder when the download version will become available? Is it a couple of weeks before, as with singles? I really have no idea as I can't remember the last time I bought a CD album I also wonder if the album will be previewed anywhere, eg Myspace.

Yes I saw your comment, it was very civil . I wish I hadn't posted really, I've done it twice now. But there is something about Mika that makes me want to leap to his defence even when I know full well it's futile and achieves very little. Not because I want to change people's opinion of him because that's impossible...but just to put my thoughts on the record. I can't help it. *fangirly moment* I have such a deep respect and affection for him and his work that it's hard for me to stand by and watch idiots write such venomous things about him. I never stoop to trading insults though, because that is definitely counter productive.

Andrew, such a joker!!! LOL Yes I also hear some T-Rex in the new music. I'm sure the album will be good, and I am glad it's not out until next year..I will need time to get over the Mika album first before I launch into MGMT again .

Wow... thanks vanessa. Definitely a new sound they seem to be developing, sounds like the Pixies in places (ok by me ). Can't wait for the album, at least it won't be Oracular Spectacular part 2; that would be a mistake.

Sorry but the idea of him dropping Europe to focus on North America with this next album fills me with horror. As would the reverse, if I were from North America . Or he could do as he did with LICM and try to keep EVERYONE happy* by touring his a**e off for the next two years. *except Australia and Japan
