THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR YOUR REVIEWS!
That's just waht I needed while getting things readys for Paris
Seems to have been an amazing gig! Reading through your reviews really put a smile on my face!
-
Well actually they rejected many people' date=' some cute, some quite well-dressed, some dressed normally, some skinny. There was no way to see what his criteria were ! Just if he thought you fitted his club or not... And given the people I saw rejected you can't even guess what fits his club
.
My confidence got ruined within two seconds. And twice. Because yes, I retried to get in, just in case. And got rejected again. When I decided to overcome my shyness and go to the door again, he looked at me from head to toes, saying "it's not possible". I replied: why ? He said: you're not well dressed enough, to which I answered that half of the people who got in were wearing jeans and converse like I was.
And do you know what his answer was ?
"If you managed a club you would know how difficult it is to run one". And I then replied: Do I look like a terrorist?
And of course as he had no argument anymore he just closed the door.
B*stard!
Slav and myself got reimbursed, but even if they do, who's reimbursing the trip to someone who traveled a long way? And how do you "reimburse" people from whom you've just ruined their confidence within two seconds, deliberately?[/quote']
I really can't believe what I just read! How come can things like that happen? I don't get it!
I am really sorry for you and I can imagine how you must have felt. That club should be banned....really...
I joined the fb group.

Mika has been announced as a host for the MMVAs.
June 21
Some Canadians might be happy...
Thanks for the news!
Btw....been following this very interesting conversation
in this topic for quite some time now, but the MFC wouldn't let me log in...But now it's fine...
Can't wait to read the first reports!
-
I think "Blue eyes" would be doing quite well in the charts (though I personally would also prefer "Toy boy")
-
Herzlich willkommen!
And happy b'day!
-
yep, three of them apparently.
Have you lot seen his new Facebook-page? This one IS official
and the word seems to spread well, every time I log onto it it's getting more and more people (though always the same that talk on the discussion board...I fell like I know them all
)
Got his album today....Love it...it's just "beautiful", well-composed, at times happy at times sad...And 13 horses is still my favorite. Plus I like the bonus track "500 miles" (Proclaimers cover)...well done! Especially considering that this is his first album. Sounds all very promising...
Just accidentally found this page
It contains pics from his visit in Belarus and a chatlog or sth along the lines
I managed to figuere it out quite well what he's saying using google translator.
Bye for a while now!
Handed in my B.A. thesis today, going back home tomorrow, and than London (not Mika related
), and Mika's Paris gig.
So for all of you Allex fans - going to see Mika these next days: HAVE FUN! Can't wait for my turn as well....Wanna hear the news songs live so bad!

It was really great!!!
Very small venue so pretty intimate!!
Crowd i felt were a little flat at times but got going for the big ones esp, My Delirium, Paris and Dusk til Dawn...
We hung about for an hour but had to go in the end so no pics with her but we spoke to some youngsters and told them how to stalk !!
She's coming to T in the park so hope to catch her then too!!
She is very sweet tho and kept thanking us for coming to see her, this was the first date on her tour too!
Great all in all!!!
Sounds great! I'm gonna see her opening for Katy Perry on June 20 - can't wait!
Did she do the French version of "Paris is burning"? Am in love with that song?
-
one more thing:
He'll be performing "Fairytale" in the "ZDF Fernsehgarten" on Sunday in Mainz (11 CET, ZDF)

That pic is funny and scary at the same time
-
omg mariposa you're worse than me
Flights to Norway are really cheap, maybe I should do do some real stalking just to get back in the game
*hides in a hole*
I'll be off the game for a week now (really need to get that BA paper done *shhhh*), so yeah, hopefully I'll have a lot to catch up with when I'm back!
Real stalking?! That's really tempting!
But I think I'll wait for the next tour or sth. - need to save some money first...But if you go to any of these gigs - take pix, k?
Me too! Well maybe next eurovision rightThat's settled, right?
Ermmm, sorry I have no idea...Maybe mariposa knows
Thanks for all the info Marion!

2., Don't be fooled and think a Western European song won the competition.
As I mentioned on Thursday, when first hearing it, it was NOT a Norwegian song ... And now it turns out that this guy is Belorussian and he wrote the song himself, proving that blood is thicker than water.
What I mean is that it was a SLAVIC SONG performed by a violinist whoso virtuoso appealed to Eastern and Western Europeans alike. + guy is Xtra cute, of course. Hence the landslide victory:cool:
Agreed, now, I have to admit I really love Eastern European music and folklore. I'd prefer it over Western European music any day. But that's all subjective of course:naughty: Just want to stress that it also does have to do with taste. Not just with where you're living.
Well, I don't find the interview right now...but there is one on youtube where Alexander tells on a Russian tv show that his song is Norwegian folklore, and that it is very similar to Russian folklore....so yeah, this fact halps a lot of course...also the fact that he speaks fluently Russian, but as he said it's a Norwegian song.
-
@ wasabi, idd! I hope people will stop with the whole 'Europe doesn't love uk' now
A decent song and amazing voice were all it took
Yeah, that's also what I think
My dad told me today that he voted for the UK
But I have to say, my faith is being restored in the Eurovision....the last few years were really awful, but the standard is improving and it's gradually returning to its former glory
(although I still think Spain should've been in the top 5
)
I agree! I think it was one of the best Eurovision finals in years, if not the best. There were only few songs I didn't like AT ALL...so yeah, that's pretty cool.
-
I'm off now as well.
Just one more thing:
http://www.vg.no/protokoll/?pid=328
You can congratulate Alexander here
-
haha that press conference was awkward
He's such a geek, not prepared for this at all - i really love that
Me too! That was hilarious!
And he still manages to make all of the journalists smile
Yay! Let's make it happen next year!*looks at flights to Oslo*
for sure!!!
