  1. Well actually they rejected many people' date=' some cute, some quite well-dressed, some dressed normally, some skinny. There was no way to see what his criteria were ! Just if he thought you fitted his club or not... And given the people I saw rejected you can't even guess what fits his club :naughty:.

My confidence got ruined within two seconds. And twice. Because yes, I retried to get in, just in case. And got rejected again. When I decided to overcome my shyness and go to the door again, he looked at me from head to toes, saying "it's not possible". I replied: why ? He said: you're not well dressed enough, to which I answered that half of the people who got in were wearing jeans and converse like I was.

And do you know what his answer was ? :naughty: "If you managed a club you would know how difficult it is to run one". And I then replied: Do I look like a terrorist?

And of course as he had no argument anymore he just closed the door.

    B*stard!

Slav and myself got reimbursed, but even if they do, who's reimbursing the trip to someone who traveled a long way? And how do you "reimburse" people from whom you've just ruined their confidence within two seconds, deliberately?[/quote']

I really can't believe what I just read! How come can things like that happen? I don't get it! :boxed:

I am really sorry for you and I can imagine how you must have felt. That club should be banned....really...

    I joined the fb group.

  2. yep, three of them apparently.

Have you lot seen his new Facebook-page? This one IS official :wink2:

    Alexander Rybak FB-page

and the word seems to spread well, every time I log onto it it's getting more and more people (though always the same that talk on the discussion board...I fell like I know them all :teehee:)

Got his album today....Love it...it's just "beautiful", well-composed, at times happy at times sad...And 13 horses is still my favorite. Plus I like the bonus track "500 miles" (Proclaimers cover)...well done! Especially considering that this is his first album. Sounds all very promising...:thumb_yello:

    Just accidentally found this page

    :blush-anim-cl:

    *hides in a hole*

I'll be off the game for a week now (really need to get that BA paper done *shhhh*), so yeah, hopefully I'll have a lot to catch up with when I'm back!

    PS: I'm NOT a stalker :mf_rosetinted:

  7. Shouldn't we start an 'alexander rybak' thread actually :naughty:

Well, I would be totally up for it! :biggrin2:

Oh I've always wanted a signature that will take up half the screen and finally I found a good one :naughty:

    looks very *niiiice*!

  8.

2., Don't be fooled and think a Western European song won the competition.

As I mentioned on Thursday, when first hearing it, it was NOT a Norwegian song ... And now it turns out that this guy is Belorussian and he wrote the song himself, proving that blood is thicker than water.

What I mean is that it was a SLAVIC SONG performed by a violinist whoso virtuoso appealed to Eastern and Western Europeans alike. + guy is Xtra cute, of course. Hence the landslide victory:cool:

    :thumb_yello:

Agreed, now, I have to admit I really love Eastern European music and folklore. I'd prefer it over Western European music any day. But that's all subjective of course:naughty: Just want to stress that it also does have to do with taste. Not just with where you're living.

Well, I don't find the interview right now...but there is one on youtube where Alexander tells on a Russian tv show that his song is Norwegian folklore, and that it is very similar to Russian folklore....so yeah, this fact halps a lot of course...also the fact that he speaks fluently Russian, but as he said it's a Norwegian song. :wink2:

  9.

@ wasabi, idd! I hope people will stop with the whole 'Europe doesn't love uk' now :naughty: A decent song and amazing voice were all it took :wink2:

    Yeah, that's also what I think :wink2:

My dad told me today that he voted for the UK :aah:

But I have to say, my faith is being restored in the Eurovision....the last few years were really awful, but the standard is improving and it's gradually returning to its former glory

(although I still think Spain should've been in the top 5 :mf_rosetinted:)

    :biggrin2:

I agree! I think it was one of the best Eurovision finals in years, if not the best. There were only few songs I didn't like AT ALL...so yeah, that's pretty cool.

  10. haha that press conference was awkward :roftl: He's such a geek, not prepared for this at all - i really love that :wub2:

    Me too! That was hilarious!

And he still manages to make all of the journalists smile :aah:

Yay! Let's make it happen next year! :teehee:

*looks at flights to Oslo* :naughty:

    for sure!!!
