No prob Was all good after I remembered what EMF was I should look for my physics book next time, even if I suspect I may have graciously disposed of it

it basically is the same thing. The why is because no magnet is moving ,so there's no EMF

So basically when magnet moving,not zero. when magnet still = 0

EMF only happens when magnetic field strength changes (moves)

this would be the easy explanation: http://micro.magnet.fsu.edu/electromag/java/faraday2/ move the magnet back and forth and see what happens.

basically inducted electricity is zero unless there is a magnet (or a moving magnetic field) messing around with it.no moving electromagnetic field (aka magnet jumping around) ,induction zero. It's like something has to wake the lil piggy up.
