i guess it would have been a worse shock if you didn't know. i can't remember if i knew about it before i read it, but i was sooo depressed through the whole book. i didn't cry when he left, though. i just read the part where he left, last night, and i didn't cry, but i had to put the book down and breath for a minute. when i re-read it, i just skip the whole part he's gone. it's hard to get out of that depression.
