Yeah you seperate the true fans from the 'conformist' fans when a singer starts going out of mainstream and not being in the media so much, thats when u see who likes him for his music and talent and not jus cos lots of ppl like him!

Yeah, I would rather like someone for their talent and music than like them just because everyone else does! I hate following the crowd, but luckily I dont feel like that with Mika as I liked him before he was huge! It is nice when a different kind of singer comes a long and gives us a different sound and different opinion of things. Some of the things that Mika says in his interviews really makes me think about things differently, and it is nice jus how influential he is!

Yeah definitely. Most of my friends still dont like Mika but I don't mind cos I have the mfc to chat about Mika whenever I like! I started liking him in Jan 2007 as well when his song was on the radio occasionally and I only found about three videos of him on youtube...and now, you cant move for Mika videos! So, yeah I definitely wasn't a conformist as when I started liking him I didnt know many others who did like him! But that was one thing I loved about him,because everything about him was and still is screaming non-conformist!

Thankyou for all the advice guys!!! I am thinking of joining when I get up to uni because I have found a meeting whi is about a 10 minute walk from the campus! I am going to try the meetings as it may be a good boost of encouragement as you all said! I really appreciate all the help u guys have given me and hopefully I can get back to exercising again soon( my ankle is stll painful and stil cannot put weight on it properly) as soon as it has healed I am back to my running! Ok,I have never heard of z100! My last fave band was a Finnish band called The Rasmus, I went to see them in concert twice, but they have kind of dissappeared! But, Mika is better than them! Is it still snowing in NY today then? hi I need people's advice, I want to join a group like weight watchers but I am very nervous about going to the meetings as I would be scared I was the youngest so is there anyway I can jus get the leaflets and information about points and everything from weight watchers and jus not go to the groups???
