  1. The same thing happened to me! I don't want to discourage you, but my dress was gone when I went back to get it. Fortunately I could order the same dress from the internet store!
  2. Could you open it? Monie made this 'flash-mob dance' for the Mika concert in Amsterdam... the only thing is, that Mika doesn't sing 'Kick-ass' live at the concert. So the plan is to do the dance after the show... Monie if I'm saying something wrong, you can correct it Edit: http://www.mikafanclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22603&highlight=flash+mob+kick+ass
  3. Mellody I love it But you're right, it is difficult to let if fit into the Alice theme! It doesn't look like the Jabberwocky at all: your costume is to sweet!
  4. Same problem here... everytime when I'm waiting for my bus I'll try to remember the 'moves', but I can't! And when I see the video again I'm really ashamed (the aha effect); it isn't that difficult, my mind is just a sieve... Well I'll just practice the dance while we are queueing. Edit: A question... we start with everything on the right, but at 2:10 we start on the left, is that correct? There are two characters that actually looks like a phoenix: - The jabberwocky; he is a bit meaner than a phoenix. - The hawk from the red queen; in Tim Burtons Alice in wonderland, the hawk grabs Tweedledee and Tweedeledum... don't know if the hawk has a name. Edit: I'm really curious how your costume looks like...
  5. I agree with you Floor, but with my lenght I irritate people behind me anyway
  6. In the Alice story the dormouse is very sleepy... he sleeps in a teacup/teapot.
  7. I assume that nobody has received tickets from Mikasounds/Sandbags already... I really want it now!
  8. She was learning for her administrative and constitutional law exam Some 'main' characters we still can use: Bill the lizard Duchess Dormouse Hedgehog Red King and Queen White King Flowers I want to say sorry in advance: I haven't read the whole thread, it can be possible that I enumerate a character we already have! Found this 'Tweedledee and Tweedledum' idea on Deviantart, it's really simple:
  9. We need music then! Don't let me sing I was wondering the same thing when I saw the costumes. Our Alice costumes are a lot more practical! Monie you did a great job for keeping it simple! Almost everybody can learn the 'dance'.
  10. Yup yup, I've seen it already! The song is played at the end of the concert, isn't it? Hope Mika peaks through the stage curtains... Yup yup reminds me of these little fellows:
  11. I love your style! I feel the same way! I've a real creative block at the moment Next week I'll buy some felt, ribbons and roses to pimp up my 'playing card' dress for the Amsterdam concert... hope it will work out.
  12. Haven't been around lately (had to learn for my exam)... I really look forward to queue with you all!
  13. You did a wonderful job Monie! It's quite simple, think I can learn that...
  14. My oh my Again... what a lovely works on here! I'm still working on this drawing, but I'm a little bit stuck now... will finish it when I get new inspiration. I've a non-creative period I think Got the idea by the Amsterdam gig thread: the dress up theme is 'Alice in Wonderland'.
  15. I never read Alice in Wonderland in my childhood, so I had to read it before I could decide what to wear to the concert. I had the two books next to me when I typed all the characters

Enough to choose
  17. We will have a lot of playing cards! I'm wearing a 'playing card dress', the dress arrived last week. I'll just have to customize it into a playing card dress. I'll have enough time for that!
  18. Yeah! I read they have paying coins (€1.25 per coin) with on one side the logo of the Heineken Music Hall and on the other side the logo of the performing band. Hope they make one for MIKA's concert! http://www.heineken-music-hall.nl/page/149/Betalen I'm a collector of useless memorable things...
  19. You have a point there! There are 52 MFC'ers (till now): don't tell me we can't force the DJ to play the music we like
  20. First of all: thanks for your lovely comments on my drawing! I read this on the HMH website: As a regular part of the concerts in the Heiniken Music Hall, there is an afterparty in the 'Beat Box'. Everyone who likes to drink something and likes to dance on the beats of the DJ, can visit the free afterparty at the first floor. The music at the afterparty is adepted to the genre of the artist. Anyone visited such a party before?
