  1. I know my memories aren't really reliable, but this hotel popped into my mind (Westerpark show) when I read your 'speculations' about the hotel: http://www.dylanamsterdam.com It looks quite fancy! OW, I'm still working on it, but I have to post it :
  2. Whoooo Mika op Pinkpop! Via ticketservice zijn nog kaartjes te krijgen: tickets voor het hele weekend kosten €140.00 inclusief toegang tot de camping, een ticket voor alleen de zondag kost €75.00. Zie http://www.pinkpop.nl
  3. Well, people who bought tickets already do get the chance to give them back if they can't go on the new date. So I think that's why there are 'new' tickets on sale.
  4. There's a soap serie in the Netherlands called 'Goede Tijden Slechte Tijden' (Good Times Bad Times), and they played 'Dr. John', as background music in the café. Don't know if this works, it's around 16:25: http://www.rtl.nl/components/soaps/gtst/index_video.xml It's the one in the left corner: Goede Tijden Slechte Tijden afl. 3969 on 21-1-2010. When you attempt to watch it, you will first see a commercial, after that the soap begins and you can 'scroll' to 16:25.
  5. I'm so jealous now, what a lot of activity on here! Wish I had enough time to do something creative now. Well, I'll get time quite soon. - Lalala: Love the 'clay' puppets, what are you gonna do with them (filming)? - XXMika-maddo-joxx: Lovely way to fill up your classes, I like the sketch. - Kiara_m: Those pencil drawings are gorgeous! - Keti: I hate crayons (only because I can't work with it), but your work is really pretty. - Yourmemory: Beautiful painting, don't now why but the eye attracts me!
  6. No, I don't celebrate Carnaval, although I like the dressing up part and the parade The Carnaval music is terrible (sorry) and I don't like the drinking people getting agressive when you accidentally bump into them. A concert of Mika is the most wonderful alternative: dressing up, making a sort of parade outside the HMH (waiting in line), nice people, lovely music...
  7. Well, doesn't sound that bad being a pillow.... but don't now where to find a dress like her, without paying too much. Think I go for the playing cards (alternative style; don't think people would appreciate it when I'm 1 meter wide)... it's almost 'Carnaval' in the South of the Netherlands, so will visit every shop till I found something!
  8. What the... I missed so much on here! Love the idea Don't now what to wear yet: do you still need Alice's older sister or something with the playing cards?
  9. Was thinking the same: I feel like a little girl, stamping her feet to get her own way!
  10. As always, thanks for all the downloads! I listened the show live through my tv in The Netherlands (don't ask me how that works). The only thing was... I couldn't SHHH the people, who were at my place, celebrating 'Old years eve' (we call it that way in Dutch). I'm so glad I can listen the show again now! And of course for everyone a Happy New Year!
  11. Hahaha I know him; what were they singing in the studio, 'Chérie' wasn't it? I was more thinking of Urbanus, because of the plastic bag (platic zakske). Thank you! I started drawing in the evening and finished it the next day in the afternoon: it's my Christmas Holiday so I've enough time now!
  12. I saw Mika with Randy the Rat on Peter Live (Belgium television show: http://www.een.be/programmas/peter-live/herbekijk-de-hoogtepunten-10) I tried to capture them in a drawing: Talking about the show and a few more vids: http://www.mikafanclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21249
  13. Today I bumped into the work of Su Blackwell http://www.sublackwell.co.uk/index.php
  14. I'm in love with Mika and Randy the Rat Started on a drawing of them yesterday! Hope I will finish it today. Edit: Finished! http://www.mikafanclub.com/forums/showthread.php?p=2714643#post2714643
  15. Love the Lady Jane Zsina! It's nice to see how you start working on a 'portrait' (the lines on the side of your paper). The Toy Boy is cute and creepy in one Cherol: the Barbie doll head is perfectly drawn (very funny).
  16. Wow this show was a lot better prepared then the shows I saw last weeks (Especialy the show at 'Lieve Paul': the presenter didn't know anything about Mika: as a Dutchy I felt ashamed). Liked the interview and the music performances a lot! Loved the Mika speaking Dutch part: "...What should I do with that, that's totally useless. Good evening Antwerp... De koetsier koetspoets de koetspoets met koets poets poets !" Whaha really funny! Edit: When the rat started the 'baseline' I was thinking of Vanilla Ice with Ice ice baby. But indeed that's the 'baseline' from Queens Under pressure!
  17. Well... - CalicoSkies your art is lovely, can't wait to see it finished! I'm wondering; what material did you use? - Jeanette the 'Iphone protector thing' looks wonderful. Do you use it? I wouldn't: I would be to scared to damage the protector. - Sopepperminty: Wow, did you draw this during your exam period? I'm always to stressed out, to draw anything properly in that period. Like it a lot! - Inbar_assaf: I can visualise the Blue Eyes girl, it's nearly finished, love it. The way you drew Toy Boy fits really into the song, like the way you approached it. And don't give up on Lady Jane; the body pose is great, you only have to sort out how to draw the upper body part! What a talent!
  18. You're right: you can't compare these artworks at all. Your work is really brilliant! Love it I think every 'creative' person feels the same about wishing having the talent of an other. I see a lot on this forum and I like the artworks in every single way.
  19. Thank you! Don't know how long it took me... every free minute I worked on it (have to study too). Started on it when the albm came out and it took me quite some time to finish it Edit: Hope this one's better (figured out how the scan works)
