  2. Here is my report of the Vienne gig I arrived in Vienne on Tuesday afternoon and I visited the city with Ilse and Sonja in the very hot weather, it's a charming city with a lot of ancient monuments which was lovely.. We got to visit the Théâtre Antique which was very impressive, we were so excited, the view from up there was amazing and we knew the gig would be successful because it was clear that every single person in the venue would be able to see the stage very well! We actually went on the stage too which was great, it was huge! It was funny to imagine how well Mika would be able to see the audience on the next day. Then in the evening we met Treasa, Rose and Sharon and we went to eat together, Rose was writing down the questions we wanted to ask to Mika, that was fun, it was a very nice day and I was already enjoying myself very much even though there was no Mika yet On the day of the gig we waited at the hotel for Yuna to arrive, it was amazing to meet her! We went queuing some time in the morning, it was very hot but we managed to stay away from the sun most of the time. The queuing was relaxed, we got to meet some more very nice MFCers (Nina, Béa, Lowell to name a few) We were able to enter the venue at 6, there we saw Yasmine picking some people in the middle of the audience to go on stage, then there were 2 support acts, a girl called Lola and a band Poliça. They were both talented but I thought both of them had songs that sounded a bit all the same so after a while it was a bit too long for the audience. When waiting for Mika to arrive, the crowd was already cheering, singing, doing the Mexican wave, we could feel the atmosphere was electric Mika went on stage at 10. It was a perfect gig! He was SO energetic, he looked so happy and the crowd was really crazy too! It was so impressive to look at the audience in the stands; and Mika himself said it was an amazing feeling to have the audience in front of him at almost 90°. He said it was truly one of the best venues he's ever done in his career I can't remember the set list properly right now but he started with Big Girl, then Relax then I don't know it's all a mess in my head He sang all the new songs (minus Make You Happy but he did Karen), we also had Blue Eyes and Stuck in the Middle which I didn't think he would do. Before SITM he said he wrote it when he was 17 for his Lebanese grandmother because he was angry at her. He did Lola at the piano, he said he had done it the previous day in Nice but he had ****ed it up, and this time he had some trouble starting it but then he went on playing the piano (which he didn't do in Nice if I understood correctly?) I'm not going to comment on every song, but I'll just say that Lollipop was really fun with all the people on stage throwing confetti, Celebrate was crazy with all the balloons thrown in the crowd; EMD was absolutely mental with every single person singing along and still playing with the balloons (can't wait to watch a vid of that!), Love Today with the fun bit with Max, and We Are Golden was fabulous with cannons throwing more confettis again He went away after WAG and came back for The Origin of Love ()and Grace Kelly, then it was already the end.. It went by so quickly as always but I enjoyed every second of it After the gig we went to wait at the other side of the venue; security guys were there for a while then they just went away leaving us all alone which worried us a bit. Some fans then decided to get closer to the venue to see what was happening, if Mika was already gone or not. After a while we went there too and we heard Mika's laugh backstage () so we were happy to know he was still there. Just a few minutes later he came out, it was a bit of a mess which is a shame; I tried not to get too involved in the mobbing but I still managed to have his autograph and then as he went further I took a few pics of him. I'm really happy Yuna got to talk to him particularly Then on our way back to the hotel we learnt that Mika had tweeted about the M&G; it was the perfect ending On the following day we also found out we were in the first page of the local newspaper We knew there would be something about Mika but it was funny to see they chose a pic of some of us. Apparently French TV was also filming something that night (Mika pulled the cameraman up the stage) so I'll try to find if something has been broadcast And to finish these already perfect few days, on our way back from Vienne and Lyon we found out some dates were announced for the Autumn, and I especially was very VERY happy about it as the Roubaix one is a home gig for me So that is all for my very long report.. Sorry if this was too long but I think I'll be happy to read this back some time later I'm uploading vids at the moment and I have some pics but I never know how to add them in my post, if anybody can help? Thanks
  3. I'm just back from Vienne and... oh my God. It was absolutely fantastic!! I had the time of my life! It was the perfect gig in the perfect venue with a perfect audience and a perfect weather :wub2: I haven't been to a lot of gigs (yet) but I think I can say it was really a very very good gig (and I heard some more 'experienced' MFCers saying it) We saw Mika after the show, I didn't get to talk to him but I got his autograph and took a few pics so I'm already over the moon with that! Maybe I'll make a proper report tomorrow; but just in case I don't I also want to say it was absolutely great to live this with fellow MFCers who I was more than pleased to meet. It was perfect I'll post some pics and vids later
  4. See you soon!! :boing:

    Good night :wink2:

  5. Yes I think I'll be there at 8.10

I don't know if I'm looking forward to seeing Mika or getting some sun the most :roftl: Anyway it will be the perfect combination in the perfect setting :wub2:

  6. I'm sure you'll be fine with your train. You seem very organised so I don't see why you would miss it :wink2:

Don't worry you'll get plenty of time to rest on the way to Lyon :biggrin2:

And yes we're going to get sunburnt! Sunny and 30°C that's a change from here :roftl:

  7. Thanks for the request :original:

  8. I don't have a printer at home but if I go to my parents' tomorrow I'll print it. Otherwise I'll just write down the reservation number, I guess it's the most important thing.

That's good for the bracelets thanks :thumb_yello: I hope each one of us will also be able to have a heart stick that Leila will bring, I don't know if she has enough for everybody who wants one

  9. :bye:

    2 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (lol)

Were you able to find bracelets finally? And also, will you print and bring all the hotel papers or do I have to print the email you sent me?

  10. Thanks for the request :original:

  11. This is the French message Hi it's Mika. I wanted to say hello, there is a new album that I'm finishing right now and of course there are some French songs which will be on the album. It took me quite a long time to make this album. I really can't wait to share all of this with you. It was a real journey; it was a journey with a lot of heart, it took me a lot of time but I also put a lot of passion in this album. And the songs in French are songs that I love. I worked on them with a lot of people, I worked with a writer called Doriand who is a friend of mine, and really after one year and a half of recording this album all I want to do is share this music and also start the tour. And start these songs' life on stage and in concert halls. Thank you for everything, sincerely, and I hope you like the album and the songs and I'll see you at a show. See you very soon and.. you have to say 'Merde'
  12. I have the biggest smile on my face! I can't believe we finally had a vlog, and what a vlog! When I see this I know why I'm a fan Does the French message need to be translated?
  13. For me this intro and the bridge are the best parts in WAG It's true that it could have been different.. I like WAG so I'm not complaining, but I think he could have added that beautiful intro to the recorded version.
  14. That's my conclusion too at the moment. I'm not particularly enthusiastic about it, I've listened to it twice only (big comparison with TOOL that I play all the time!) but then I haven't listened to or looked at the lyrics properly so that could change my perception of the song
  15. Actually contrary to some of you I prefer the Denmark version.. I don't hear his voice fully in the Tallinn version, and I prefer him not singing 'love, love, love' but go with the long 'looooove'
  16. Thank you for this poll, I'm really interested in the results
  17. Thank you so much to everyone who posted vids, pics, interview, translation! I really like the song Much more the kind of songs I'm 'normally' attracted to. I adore the sound in the background which starts at around 2min (in LaraMay's vid) And Latin? He's the smartest popstar ever! This is what was written in French articles about the song, do you guys think it's accurate?
  18. Coucou! Merci pour la demande :original: On est 'collègues' traductrices :biggrin2:

  19. To be honest, this pic makes me think about the UK but in a positive way. I've always heard that in the UK, you can (metaphorically) walk in the streets with poo on your head and nobody will notice or care. And it's true, people are so much cooler with physical appearance than in France where you are constantly judged.
  20. As far as I know, it was #5 for pop songs only last weekend, and if I remember well around #17 in the main chart. I suppose it was fans buying it all at the same time who made it reach that place, but it went down very quickly
