Since I didn't have time to do a proper report after each show, you'll get a 3-in-1:wink2:
So... about 2 years ago, I went to see a concert at the OSM hall. The minute I sat there, all I could think of was: it would be so amazing to see Mika sing here one day... Knowing that day would possibly never come...
Anyhow, the day after, I wrote to OSM client service to thank them for a great show and suggest they look up into Mika because his music would mix well with theirs...
THEN, one February earlu morning, I woke up to my husband shoving me the front page of La Presse with Mika's face on it. Seemed was dream was coming a reality.
Fast forward to a whole year of waiting, daydreaming while looking at the OSM building (I see it from my office window) trying to imagine how it would be.
Then that first night came. A bunch of us when for dinner before but I was so stressed because service was slow... We finally walk to the hall and found our seat VERY close to the stage. Then Mika came, looking truly terrified and started singing Toy Boy. WOW! it was one suprised after the other, all beautifully sang and the music was flowing. That first night was perfect musically but compared to the others, it was the more formal. Although Mika loosen a bit towards the end.
Second night was better because everyone involved was much more at ease. And it ended much too quickly.
Last night, I was going with the intention of seeking everything in. I was sitting a bit further back and had no companion but quickly started talking with the lady sitting next to me with her son. It was his first concert and watching him enjoy it fully really melt my heart. That's the power of Mika's music.
Of course, being with so many friends was equally, if not more, fun.
Special thanks to Melanie and Roxane:huglove:
And I can't help doing a bit of non-Mika fanfurling because some of the pepke in the first row were sitting to one of my other favorite singer, Bobby Bazini, who really enjoyed the show.
I don't want this week to end but since it must... It was a blast while it lasted.
