  1. I think it's Google translator fault... He once said that he couldn't think about kids right away because he couldn't find time to go home and see his dog. I assume he just said the same here and it got lost in translation...
  2. Yup we had -25 for the past 4-5 days. It's better now, snow tomorrow:thumb_yello:
  3. Of course! When it's cold, sometines, having your nose/mouth covered is the only way to breathe outside:thumb_yello:
  4. He has a helmet on the pic and he is in Switzerland:naughty: Big freeze in my land too (I'm up north in Quebec) but last day then snow...
  5. Bonne année à toi aussi! Et je te souhaite d'être prise pour les enregistrements... J'aimerais tellement voir ça!
  6. The extravegenza consists of many games you can play and you can win prizes...

  7. There are no weird questions, believe me!

I've taken the habit of sending Mika a xmas card every year. No clue if he ever read it, but I like the idea nonetheless...

One thing I know for sure, he had an excellent memory of people and can surprised you anytime. So never assume anything you write will go unnoticed!

Don't hesitate if you have any questions :)

  8. If you go at the very bottom of this post, you'll find 2 mail address for Mika http://www.mikafanclub.com/forums/faq.php?faq=mfaqs#faq_mo_1
  9. Madonna is probably not the best example when talking about voices. If I look at the last edition of "LaVoix", there were a few participants who made it very far, one was in the final and is now duetting with Garou, and they have very unique voices, very far from screamers like Whitney or Celine... In fact, there are many French-speaking singers, especially women, who can fit in that category. Maybe the best contemporary example is Coeur de Pirate. She has a very limited vocal range, but she uses what she has at its best...
  10. Hope you don't mind me lurking around... I'm from up north (Montreal, I'm a frenchie with the strange accent:naughty:) but I've been traveling to the east coast for the past decades... Yup, I'm old too! I love cats, but can't have one as hubby is severly allergic. Have an almost 14-year old girl and 12-year old twin boys... I've started listening to Mika after my girl beg me to buy her LICM. It probably saved me from drowning in depression after loosing my father.. Since then, I feel I've discovered one of the most fascinating man of our century.
  11. I want to hide in the xmas tree and hear them sing together! Garou and Mika could be an interesting duo:fisch:
  12. I'm very far from being a Celine fan, probably because of the overdose exposition I got as a child when she was singing very lame songs. But you can't deny she has an impressive voice. I love Adam Lambert. But my favorite American Idol alumni is James Durbin. The guy sang Judas Priest on TV...http://youtu.be/MLNxG7NTi8w
  13. Two points I want to comment: 1) I always feel awkward when I read that Mika is better because he writes his own songs... Singing is on thing, writing abilities are another... Luckily, some can combine the two. Does it make someone like Celine Dion, probably THE singer of our century, less of a singer because she doesn't write her songs? Does it make someone like Luc Plamondon, who wrote many very important and successful French songs, including some Celine's success, less of a writer? 2) why always say that because you got onown through a talent show necessarily equals to "he got molded into/he doesn't make his own music"? It's not always the case... At least, in my province it's not:thumb_yello:
  14. After weeks of italian, it almost felt strange to watch an interview where I toyally understood what he was saying:naughty:
  15. I'm sorry if you ever feel this way because of something I've said. Just as you said earlier, it is my style and when I say something, I mean it. I don't use cliches. So when I said I understood you, I really meant it. I totally agree we need to be able to express our opinion no matter what they are. We just need to be careful on how we do it.
  16. Just one thing: how can you be so sure about the fact I've never been harassed, called names or anything similar?
  17. I understand how you feel, it's never easy being attacked for expression your point of you. My only suggestion, for what it's worth, is to try to be carefull, all the people trying to bring an opinion different than yours on here are not stalkers or harassers...
