Just by accident I had two windows with the VOTORAMA contest (http://votorama.mtv.uol.com.br/50-cantores-dos-anos-2000) open and then I realised that I can speed up voting by opening the contest in several windows or tabs! While one page is refreshing, I can vote in another and I don't have to just sit and wait while the page reloads. Instead I use it effectively . I haven't yet tested whether the changes in the percentages occur faster this way, so I don't now for sure this really works, but then again - why shouldn't it? I love cheating where it's possible. All for good cause, right?

When I first became interested in MIKA my hubby put MIKApics as my desktops in both of the computers I use and whenever my kids come up with the "mom and MIKA" topic I can simply say that I was switching between the desktops and that's where they saw his pic . I'm quite sure I never have to confess, because even if my hubby finds out about MFC he won't tell me . We'd play cat and mouse

I think I'm truly old-fashioned. I have a FB account for my company for advertising purposes; I made a personal account a week ago but haven't got around to using it and I doubt I ever will . Myspace - what's that ? Twitter - for voting 99%. If someone asked me for my FB account or similar to keep in touch I'd give the same reply as the girl in MIKA's column and it would not necessarily mean I'm not interested. I do prefer getting to know people first hand, especially after having had a few experiences with getting a completely wrong impression of people based on what they chose to share on the internet. I believe people paint a more socially acceptable picture of themselves on the internet, which is not so easy in RL simply because in RL you can't filter out the undesirable.

I'm under the impression you have to wait a certain amount of time before your vote counts again So Let's keep vooootingg!!! I think so too! A few days ago I voted for about half an hour non-stop - it must have been at least 100 votes before the percentage changed. Just have faith and vote !

It's like coming home and knowing there will be milk and cookies waiting! Every time I'm away from MFC. Thank you!
