My brain turned to mush when I saw him log and say hi on the live. I didn’t know how fast to get off the stream to make room for Mika!! I just said “hi Mika!” and answered Deb’s question only with 10% of my brain. Whenever I will get to see or meet him live in the future, I’m sure I’ll just stare at him with my mouth open and he’ll think I’m weird. Well I am, but only in his presence 🤣 shoot me!

Now I understand why he seems so collected all of the time, if you have chainsaws waiting for you to take care of the olive trees, that is the perfect outlet to ANYTHING. (Cutting back olive trees is quite cool 🙈 I once helped friends in Croatia with their olive trees.)

Thank you Anna for translating this, I loved reading it! And I agree with you with how he meant it being a different Mika on stage than he is privately. I also believe we have different roles that we portray in different settings. Professional me is definitely not private me, but it is still me. I would say even the same for languages, my husband told me this too: if I speak German, English or Dutch, I become a different side of me. This has nothing to do with me changing personality, but also how the language is constructed and how cultural appropriation is within the language. I am much more open and chatty when I speak English, but more formal when I speak German 🙃 and that is purely because there is a separation in the German language between formal and informal, which is not so much the case in English.

My knowledge of haute couture just tripled since being a Mika fan 😆 awesome though! Feel like he is subconsciously expanding all of our horizons 😊 when it’s not language wise, it’s fashion wise.

Last fall I was not too far away! We were enjoying the beach in Sabaudia, that’s only 40km away from Nettuno. Would go back in a heartbeat, especially with Mika being so close by 😍

The other day I was asking in the MFC live if it was normal for him to be radiosilent and the answer was “Oh yeah, we call it a Mika drought”! I’m happy it didn’t last too long this time! Love seeing the videos from Rome. When I was there last fall, we decided to do the Vatican on a seperate day, which in the end never took place... but now I feel I get to see the Vatican anyhoo 😊 win!!

See!! He got a matching mask to his outfit! I knew it 🤣 I’m very sure he will show various fashionable looking masks the next couple of weeks. Maybe a Viktor&Rolf one with either a cone (or a chair 😜) on it. That would be very Madonna.

I love this, because at first I was confused and wasn’t sure as to take it seriously. I’m not that informed with haute couture 🙈 but I do know Viktor&Rolf and I love how they do things their way. The short film is so fitting to the situation as it is today and makes a colorful yet mocking statement with a serious and unified message of love, tolerance and acceptance. I understand why Mika is a fan of the brand!

Now I understand why Viktor and Rolf (or at least one of them) was backstage at one of his shows when he was performing in the Netherlands. Really cool that he narrated that. I didn’t recognize his voice so much to be honest!
