i've had some of them I must say i LOVE the sugus and.. crap i forgot the name :boxed: the ones that have that white stuff covering them and there were like 5 of them in the package :roftl: i could just go into my room and look but i'm too lazy :bleh:

Emmm, I would say those are Jorgito or Bon o Bom...Both are sooooo tasty! :biggrin2: I love them!

Okay so i thought i would share this with you guys so you can give it a try.

I few weeks ago me and lilmot came up with the idea of what we call 'Mika Mail'. Im from the UK and lilmot's from the states - we got talking on here, and both being 'big girls' the convosation soon went round to food.

Turn out there are alot of thinqs that we have in the UK that the US doesnt, and visa versa.

So we set up Mika Mail.

The idea is that you collect lots of various snacks, little toys, stationary, magazines or whatever you feel like sending that is unique to where you live or that you really like and send them to a fellow MFCer who you trust enough to give your address to through PM, and they will do the same in return.

It took 6 days for our parcels to reach eachother - mine from lilmot arrived this morning and just to give you an idea - heres a picture:

i would love to do this

i have a friend in the states that i chat to and we send mail but we dont send food as were lucky to get the parcel into each others country thanx to qaratine how ever u spell it customs that will do, we send like stuff toys that each person has never seen, photos and bits and pieces like survinors from each country

Question: Does anyone know how much it would cost to mail a package so far? I know costs will vary depending on where you are mailing it, but this could possibly be kind of expensive. I would love to participate...this idea is so cute...but I'm just not sure about the money...

 

if it helps is end a parcel from Hobart in Australia and it cost me $80 australian to send a parcel to Calgary Alberta

 

to colorado its like half that

haha. its gonna about $40 to ship my package in the us to the netherlands.

:tears: i barelly have $100 at this point and christmas is coming up and then of course i'm going to have to buy a car soon suckness..

Just to let you all know, after Mika Mail 2 and the christmas rush I will be changing around the pairs so you can exchange parcels with someone from a different country.

Those who still want to stay with their partner, if both of you let me know; that is fine. You may also like to know that you can have two or more partners, as some MFCers have, that way you can stay with your current partner and have a new one also.

So please finish up all current packages and get them mailed before the new year change around.

Quick reminder:

You can send food/sweets/chocolate/biscuits etc, however we do advise that you dont send any food that is likely to go off or that needs chilling.

I know one or two of you have raised some concerns surrounding your parcel's crossing borders and the chance that packages may not arrive or be opened at the borders.

Customs in different countires vary, but so long as the information on the forms you fill in when mailing are correct and detailed there should be no problems, the scanners they use are very high tech and similar to those used in airports so im sure they will not have any need to open them.

 

 

Oh, and please refrain from sending any guns, bombs, ammunition or weapons of mass destruction in general, custom officers tend to be a bit funny about that kind of thing.

haha, no. not a problem. Milou and I talk to eachother every day in fact! but we have just been procrastinating! i am ready, but she keeps putting it off, we are gonna ship it soon though!
