Artists come up with a TON of songs, record them themselves, usually at home, and from there, he decides which he would like to record professionally and put on his album. If you've heard the demos of Grace Kelly, Love Today, etc. you'll know why. He has talked about a possible EP with maybe 6 tracks on it so there is some speculation he's going to re-work and re-record some of the demo tracks.
