Mikafish
Hello - is this your first visit to my humble abode? Hey Pink, I was lurking here yesterday but not sure if I posted! Hey Wendi! I don't feel my age, I'm 23 and still feel like a kid most of the time.
pinkunicorn123
Yesterday?.....*Tries to think of what random rubbish we were talking about yesterday aside from general officialness and phone contracts*
Wendi
Hadnt noticed Its not something I would really expect others to see/feel. Its more of an inside thing - I can feel it - and usually manage to keep it to myself -but occasionally it gets too much for me!! Nothing serious - just feeling frightened I guess!! As an grown adult I find being "young" again quite scary!! Many reasons, but the main one is rejection I think. Thats how I feel when I feel young!! Thats how I feel when I feel young!! I would have thought the whole 'world at your feet' approach would be quite exciting. I am wrong again. Its interesting that you come in here then, since alot of the mfc is youngling based along with mika's music itself.

I don't find young people (or the music) bothers me at all - its more of an "inside" thing - so I learn to deal with it in my own way - and keep enjoying all the things I like. I still have a shot on the swings when the mood takes me, and love climbing trees - I guess when I am with people my own age THATS when I feel too young, immature etc

Wendi
Dont you think the mfc is a bit weird sometimes though? For me - at 47 - the thought that I am on a fan club forum, and talking each day about a 24 year old guy, and lots of other stuff with total strangers - well, it blows my mind. I don't think its weird - I just think its very different!!!
Mikafish
Wendi you're 47? What face cream do you use? because you did not look 47 when I meet you in Glasgow!

Wendi
No, more in the sense that ignorance is bliss, and the mfc is disneyland. Ignorance of what? MFC is a bit like an escape from reality for me - but it has been real as well - in Glasgow!!

Exactly that. Here we 'live' under false names, false characters, and follow the gimics of a musician who prides himself on escapism into a perfect childhood. Sometimes i find it a little strange

Sometimes i find it a little strange I use my real name here (well apart from the i/y) and I have met quite a few of the folk I speak to on here. We also exchange texts off the forum, speak on msn etc. I am ill quite often - and folks hear ALL about that!! So from that side of things I feel I am quite open - but I do get what you mean - we can't take everyone at "face" value here - there have been a few who have been a bit strange!! Sometimes i find it a little strange That;s not what I get from here tho.... I'm exactly the person i am when you meet me. I love this sight because, as someone that wears hearing aids, I'm not judged on my appearance it's just me. The escapism in Mika's songs for me isn't about the perfect childhood it's about the part parts not being important, about excepting them and saying "stuff it" I'm me and I can be happy being me. Wendi
And you honestly believe that also?I wonder how many people are entirely happy with themselves, even a fraction. There are a lot of things I don't like about myself - but a very good friend of mine says that compliments are the food of the soul, and does his level best to emphasize my good points, and ignore my bad points. With my bairns I try to do the same. Critisism flattens people, praise lets them grow!!

Mikafish
And you honestly believe that also?I wonder how many people are entirely happy with themselves, even a fraction. It's taken over 20 years but yes, now i do. I'm not perfect and I'm not saying there aren't days when I'm down but 99% I'm happy just being me. I think sometimes it takes getting to rock bottom as I did about 2 years ago to realise that.
