PhotoJenic
Perhaps he's just too nice and gracious to say "no".Strangers used to just come up to my tummy when I was pregnant and touch it:blink: I knew they meant well....I guess if you're "Mika" or "pregnant" you're put in a different category where others feel you are no longer your own or that you would consider it a compliment. I guess my friend got lucky! She recently had her baby and I asked her if any random people use to come up to her and touch her belly. She said no. I guess what reminded me of that is because a group of four of us went to visit her and at one point we all had our hands on her stomach because the baby was moving around a lot. Although, she knows us and encouraged it we weren't just random people. I don't blame Mika for not wanting his hair touched. I mean, it's perfect... when my hair is perfect I don't want anyone to touch it. Okay all kidding aside, I'd find it awkward if random people that I don't know started to touch and play with my hair. I don't mind if my friends mess with it, but random people? Umm nah, I'll pass thanks.

Ruth
Actually Mr M. does very much mind when people attempt to touch his hair. ... but then really, wouldn't any of us object to this violation of personal space? Yes, I've heard him say that - someone can probably whizz up a link to the very occasion. But, random girl you asked and didn't grab. And we'd all LOVE to have done it. (in a motherly way of course )
Gatagordinha
And we'd all LOVE to have done it. (in a motherly way of course ) You mean like a top-of-the-head ruffle?? I do that to my son all the time but he is only 5 . Not sure I'd want to touch Mika's hair in quite the same way . After seeing him in the flesh I am really caught between the lust thing and the motherliness thing. Wish I was just that bit older OR younger. I'm stuck-in-the-middle! If I were Mika, I'd be a bit freaked out by the hair touching though...although I understand the urge must've been quite irresistible!!
Christine
After seeing him in the flesh I am really caught between the lust thing and the motherliness thing. Wish I was just that bit older OR younger. I'm stuck-in-the-middle! Me too. I think I'm about 80% mothering 20% lusting. It would help if he didn't often look so much older in photographs. I think if I knew him fairly well in real life, the 20% would evaporate altogether. I'm a big fan of Paolo Nutini too and while he's a beautiful kid, he just looks like a child to me so I don't think of him that way.
Gatagordinha
Me too. I think I'm about 80% mothering 20% lusting. It would help if he didn't often look so much older in photographs. I agree he does look/seem younger when you actually see him there in front of you. But I'm the same age as you Christine and I have to say my 'percentages' are probably the reverse of yours, ...although at one point on Monday night I did catch myself thinking (fleetingly) "mmm. son-in-law material" Can't get a handle on my thoughts on this at the moment !! Christine
But I'm the same age as you Christine and I have to say my 'percentages' are probably the reverse of yours, It's not just an age thing. I didn't really fancy Mika at first because he was too skinny and geeky looking to be my type and I didn't know anything about his personality. I think my perception of him has changed a lot in the past 6 months but he's still essentially the same person so I really only fancy him for superficial and selective reasons that tend to wax and wane. But I do genuinely like him and care about his welfare all the time which feels more like being his mother or sister or platonic friend. Some fans almost seemed to be gripped with sexual possessiveness and jealousy and that's not me, even if I happen to think his ass looks cute in a pair of white trousers. I feel like I'm reading the mother's thread! I also feel like this. I'm 35, so not too much older than him, but still feel like a mother about him to some degree. And he does look older in some photos. Very mature and grown up man and then other times he's such the little boy.

Actually, he's like my hubby in that respect. Skinny with no real bum to look at. And yet my hubby cycles, so actually has a great bum (if you know what I mean:wink2: )
-LollipopGirl-
I went to see mika and I loved it so much! It was the funnest concerts i've ever been to, and i was dancing and singing like mad ( i had no voice the next day, my singing teacher could have killed me!) I was stood at the front with some signs me and my friend had made love hearts on sticks with pink and purple ribbons on them. We threw them on stage at the end for mika but mine accidently hit one of the security men, but he put it on the stage for me anyway. It was so good and I definately want to see mika again, he's such a fabulous performer!!!
