Booked tickets for me and b/f for end of Jan, for the christening, and while on the site the cheapest went from £78 up to £156!!! So we ended up getting the £156 ones. I checked the site again today - and they have more tickets at £78!!! That is so infuriating isn't it! Wendi Posted December 8, 2007 Share Posted December 8, 2007 We have been having a lot of camera /computer problems lately but today have managed to get a few pics from Donny/Newcastle printed so I will be able to get them in my Mika file.....then I think it will be about done for 2007...I will need to start a new one for next year. However, I have come to the conclusion that I really MUST stop sticking the camera right in his face quite so often............if I don't want a restriction order....because that would be SUCH a shame! I have not kept any kind of scrapbook - I am not good at that! I have a huge envelope full of the bairns achievements over the years, and they are still waiting to be stuck in!! Blue Posted December 8, 2007 Share Posted December 8, 2007 Just watched Mika singing 'Relax' in the German/Austrian tv show... It was... awful... I mean, painful to see him like this. He should have stayed at home, in bed. Even my bf said 'he sounds as if he is actually not allowed to sing'. And I think my bf hit the nail on the head with that comment... Oh well. The only things I really noticed were Mika being ill and Billy Brown's burning sofa in the background. I saw Sara on guitar (Martin was not there - ill too?) and it all seemed to be playback (like the last time they were in a German tv show, in April, when they changed instruments). At least Mika sang live, but he didn't do the high notes at the beginning of the song. And his voice sounded so... powerless. It was not the Mika as we know him. Not even the ill Mika who really wants to perform. It was so painful to see him there. Sorry, just had to rant. It's all in the threads about Wetten Dass. I know he was booed at the Radio 2 thing, for not being there - but in the long run he is not doing his voice, or his image any good by trying to perform when he is not 100%. It must be SO difficult to make the descsion whether to perform or not...but it would really be better if he didn't if he is still ill. Poor Mika....I wish we could wrap him in cotton wool. I showed my mum the perfomance expecting her not to notice him being ill (cuz she's not a huge Mika fan) but she instantly noticed. She then added "and he's such a skinny thing too." Now she feels all sorry for "the poor boy" like the rest of us. I truly believe he (or his management) figured that this would be great for publicity as it's a tv show with a huge audience. Maybe they even thought cancelling meant bad press. He didn't do bad..
