Gatagordinha
WOW!!! I just heard the news and I also feel for all those people who have made their way to the venue to face disappointment. I went To the Brixton gig last night and although i was not up front, I didn't think for a minute that he was poorly, although he did mention that him and his band had been 'in bed' for the last couple of days. His performance was so energetic that i'm stunned by this announcement.. Its a shame that many people wouldn't of recieved this annonccement in time before heading off as according to Mika's statement: "I thought after last night’s performance I could do the shows but this morning it was obvious I could not proceed"... It would of been nice of his management team to have made the statement this morning as Mika obviously felt a little under the weather at this point.. Did his band even know as why are they at the venue? Just my thoughts... That's what I meant when I said this morning I'd heard he wasn't 100% last night...I could see this coming. annabelle
it's the second time this happens to avoca... I'm so sorry for her. I wish I had her phone number to text her or something. I wish her and the rest of the fans that flew to london especially for these gigs will find a way to enjoy themselves anyway! I've been thinking of Avoca (and all the others of course) ever since I found out about that. I know how much she was looking forward to that. It's just so sad. mikaddict
i'm so sorry about this news Mika must be very ill to cancel gigs.... so, Mika, get rest, think about yourself, we love you!!!!
CordeliaMoon
I Hope he'll take good care of himself. His health is so much more important. I know of another artist who ignored it for too long and ended up in a hospital for over a month so it's better for Mika to cancel the show rather than to get in the hospital! Take care!!!! Of course I'm sorry for all the people who were going to see him.
~Wicky~
I feel so sorry for all the MFC'ers. And for Mika and the band, of course. I really hope they will get some rest and get better soon.
c@rin@
Poor blue Carina leaves tomorrow:boxed: Don't know if she can cancel her trip:boxed: But i think that MIKA feels really guilty to Blue and I both would leave tomorrow. I phoned her, and we're still going to London, and make a good time of it! Yeah... What should I say... I'm sad that he had to postphone, but also relieved that he does take care of his health. Of course we don't want him to postphone, but I think that it is better to postphone now, and become better, than going on and ruin his voice. I think we still will have a great time in London tomorrow, and then the 26th of February again Just look at the bright side of life...

Jrock1
Just as its important .... Mika has cancelled tonights show Guys We are really sorry but MIKA has had to postpone his show tonight at Hammersmith Apollo as well as tomorrow's at Brixton Academy. Please see the following statement from MIKA which explains the reasons why: "It is with much regret that I have been forced to postpone my two remaining shows on my UK tour on 3 and 4 December at Hammersmith Apollo and Brixton Academy respectively. Over the past few days I have been fighting off a virus that has affected the majority of my band and crew. I thought after last night's performance I could do the shows but this morning it was obvious I could not proceed. After consulting a specialist, I have been advised to rest my voice for a minimum of 48 hours. If I did not do this I would risk long term damage to my vocal chords. I can only apologise to everyone who has bought a ticket and the inconvenience and disappointment this postponement has caused. We are looking at rescheduling these dates early in the New Year; as soon as we have I will let you all know. Thank you all for your continued support and understanding." MIKA Following the announcement that tonights and tomorrow's gigs at Hammersmith and Brixton respectively have had to be cancelled due to MIKA's ill-health we can now reveal the rescheduled dates. The Hammersmith Apollo show will now take place on February 25th, and the Brixton Academy show will now take place on February 26th. All ticket holders for the postponed show can swap tickets for their respective shows, or get a full refund. Once again, many apologies for the inconvenience that this has caused.
