guys, please read my blog. It's important to me.

Jemma, good luck tomorrow!

Or, if you dont have myspace, my blog is here:

At this point, in the beginning of January, I can already tell that 2008 is going to be a year of determination and possibly life changing choices. It's going to be a hard road, and I'm not looking forward to it, but it's something I am going to have to battle through in order to create a better future for myself. This year I will be strict, firm, and focused.

First off: College.

I am studying childcare; work experience Monday and Tuesday, college Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. They are all full days. Work experience is exhausting enough with energetic, frustratic and stubborn children, and then with college it's assignment after assignment after assignment. If I did nothing else BUT this, my life would be an easy track. I could probably still find time to go out, but if I actually want to keep myself alive and breathing, then it's probably best that I keep it as minimal as possible. We will have exams this year too.

Counselling is definitely a subject I'd like to delve in more, and there's a 10 week course starting this september which I would love to do, but costs £400. So, while doing college amongst other things, I also have to think about my career path.

Secondly: The Odeon

This is where I work at the weekends and weekends only. I cannot do any other day, I'm just far too busy. I NEED to work though, even though it's only two days. It's my only source of income and I know I may not do so many hours (on average I do six hours a day) but it helps a lot. I need this to actually make some sort of living, otherwise I'd be feeding from my parents and that's not fair. So this year, I also need to learn to become more independent and stand on my own two feet.

Thirdly: Dancing

Usually this would only be a few hours every Tuesday, but there's a new project. It's some sort of promo thing and we're learning three dances, and we travel to different places and perform. Or something. It was explained to me in a rush because most people knew already, and I had a lot of time off dancing before Christmas. I had a choice whether to do it or not, but I wanted to and er, kinda need to, which I will explain in a sec. Because of this project, I will be dancing Monday evening for two hours and Tuesday evening for two hours and fifteen minutes. We're learning a slowish dance ("You Give Me Something"), Jive ("Candyman") and some XXX porn type dance *LMAO* ("Freak on dress" or something by Beyoncé).

Because our first performance is actually on February 9th, we may even have to dance on Sundays. Times are unknown, but if this be the case I shall have to work later on Sundays.

The reason why I *need* to do this dance thing is because of my health. I do need to lose weight, and not just because I want to look good. I want and need to be healthy.

I've decided to cut chocolate which may shock some of my friends. The only chocolate I may eat will be Weight Watchers or Dark Chocolate, because it's healthier. I eat so much chocolate within a day and it needs to stop. I have to be firmer with myself and not give in so easily. I am too heavy for my height and I'm trying to aim for a size 8-10 dress size. I've not eaten chocolate for 4 days now (except on the second day when I had a weight watchers brownie, which isn't big) and am trying to substitute it for fruit.

Also, all this extra dancing will hopefully help me to lose weight quicker and I am trying to drink more too to flush out my system more regularly, so that will help as well.

So, as you can see, this year is gonna be pretty hectic and stressful. For those who wish to support me on the way; thank you. I probably will need encouragement along the way.

:)

for those lazy myspacers, please comment on my actual blog rather than here, cos your comment may et lost within this thread lol ^_^

It does :mf_rosetinted: but its not as good as chocolate!!! :naughty:

I mentioned on the Aussie thread once that I was thinking about starting up a thread called Chocolate is better than sex (er chicken) and was hounded down by people who said no one would ever agree with me. I see i was talking to the wrong people/age group.

You can combine it :mf_rosetinted:

*runs*

Hmmmm. Messy, but fun.

Sadly, chicken can do as well. So does cheese - maybe its the "ch" that

does it!! :sneaky2:

Wendi! Chicken gives you a migraine? Are we talking real chicken here or Mika chicken?

Yep! When I lived in Brisbane the circle of friends we had up there were all movie quoters. We ended up having to put the equivalent of a swear jar up and anyone that quoted had to pay in.
