Blue
I didn't even know that there was any sort of indoor place big enough and suitable for rising horses in. It's not so much a problem with the language (I thought it must be some sort of arena), more the whole concept of horses indoors. Well it's a good thing that they exist - I hate riding in the cold rain/snow/mud pools... But I can see that when you don't know anything about horseriding it's hard to imagine the fact that horses can be ridden indoors too. I prefer outdoor riding though - just not now. Ruth
It's all clear now:naughty: I've only heard it called an indoor school. But that link refers to boarding horses and I've always called it 'keeping at livery' Livery? that's the colours for aeroplanes or buses or uniforms isn't it? And why is it like liver liver-y? Blue
'keeping at livery' Hey you know that word! I only found out last month that 'livery' is the word for what we call 'pension'. A place where they take care of your horse when you don't have the facilities to keep it at your own place. I really never knew before that it was called 'livery'. And I have no idea where the word comes from. It reminded me of 'delivery' but that doesn't make sense.

I bet that you'll be a brilliant auntie to him/her. I've only got one niece and I've fallen out with my sister, so I don't see her, which is a shame.
