AnnaMariaPetra
Hurrah! They're the best aren't they? You're the first Dutchie I've met ("met") that watches these shows. Well except for my mother but I made her watch it.. She completely adores Graham now though. Do you watch Nevermind the Buzzcocks aswell? I try sometimes, but it's mostly too difficult for me to follow (the english I mean.)
AnnaMariaPetra
But I really like to watch The Weakest Link, I am absolutely thrilled when I know an answer:cool:
Ruth
Yes they're a band. I used to be a huge fan of theirs (still like them) and they helped me become myself. What Mika is doing for some of the youngsters here, Placebo did for me back in the day. (Although Placebo is a lot darker than Mika). Aw he is! It's all self protection posting non smily pictures (I'll explain it but only if you want me to). The Big Fat Quiz Of The Year was grand although last year's was funnier! Or at least I think it was.. still you can't go wrong with the goth detectives. What do you mean by damaged? As in, Russell Brand being damaged by what he went through? If so, I absolutely agree. That was actually my first impression of him when I saw him on Jonathan Ross, before I knew of his drug addiction and everything. Funny but with a tortured soul. Do you watch Nevermind the Buzzcocks aswell? Actually Mika hasn't just done it for the young ones. As the (almost) oldest of the Oldlings - I never see Marylin in here but she beats me by a month, I could go into a huge amount of detail about the life-changing effect of Mika :-) And yes I mean a damaged soul with Russell, why the not-smiley pictures then? And Never Mind the Buzzcocks is the son who still lives at home's favourite programme, so I usually see it. Did you see Patrick Wolfe on it? AND, did everyone know about the French stadium gig in Nantes? In July. It's going to be enormous!!!!
AnnaMariaPetra
You know what's funny? He does occasionally go out of tune or miss the note (usually a bit flat if anything), but I love it, cos it shows he's human, not some music machine. Just like when he made a few mistakes at the piano at the Hootenanny. He had such a sweet, apologizing smile after that..

AnnaMariaPetra
Ah, so that wasn't my imagination? I thought there were a few mistakes.. No I guess not. I heard it on New Years Eve at half past two in the night. And my hubby heard it too and he has got a good musical ear. But I don't mind him making mistakes, show he's only human. And he has said it himself that he does not mind making them.
Ruth
Ah, so that wasn't my imagination? I thought there were a few mistakes.. Yes :-) At the beginning, I can't hear the problem but he sighs and does that smile but later on he missed the top G I believe! And I didn't notice anyone else making mistakes. Still we were all pretending it was New Years Eve and drinking had taken place!

From memory, I think he played the wrong chords and yes it was near the beginning of the song. But it didn't sound bad, just that when you know the song... and I've been trying to play those chords myself. God he's got big hands/long fingers. I can only just manage an octave plus one note. There is no way I can play some of the chords he does.
Diana
Ummm, I pictured you being really into cinema and photography. Don't know why... Oh! Well I love both but I'm rubbish at it... So I just admire from a distance. Great to see you Dutchies here btw Amsterdam (and other parts of Holland) are some of my most welcoming and fondest holiday memories !.. Such a friendly and tolerant place Glad you had a nice time here! We often whine a lot about our country (I know I do) but it's an ok place to live most of the time. I try sometimes, but it's mostly too difficult for me to follow (the english I mean.) But I really like to watch The Weakest Link, I am absolutely thrilled when I know an answer:cool: But doesn't it have subtitles? And yesss The Weakest Link!! I used to watch that when I was quite young and never knew any of the answers. He crosses all age groups! I have a soft spot for damaged souls. And no smilie pictures cuz my fetish (can you really call it that?) is teeth.. So I get excited. I did see Patrick Wolf on NMTB! He didn't seem that into it though did he? A little arrogant. Edit: I think Mika likes a drink! Anyway, girls, thanks for your company but I'd better scuttle off to bed now. dcdeb
Aaargggh! I can't believe you all chose a TUESDAY to get chatty! Without me! And now I have two minutes to catch up before I have to take son to a meeting! AH.................I finally managed to get a ticker on my sig! Thought it was about time that I made the effort! However..I am not impressed as it reminds me how long it is! Hence the tortoise! Kath, I love the way your mind works! Glad you figured out the ticker! 3. Dizzy turns caused by recurring BPPV (benign paroxysmal positional vertigo) Exercises to be done to try and shift the particles that are irritating the tiny hairs that control balance!! It could be worse, so now have to do the right things, and change what I can, and put up with the things I cant!! And SMILE - it uses less muscles than a frown!! Oh dear, Wendy! What a nuisance! Too much too much! My writing partner has BPPV too -- no roller coasters for her! Or maybe that's what caused it in the first place. I do hope you can manage all the rest, but with your positive outlook, I'm sure you will. And you have all of us here to lean on! Shes an instant martyr, a drama queen,She gets up like a star, Cries like she used to. Walking around with this heir of a queen, She doesnt knows what she wants Knows how to use you... It's "walking around with this AIR of a queen" I think. And it's: She's the TIME of your life, one in a million. Not that I've ever heard this, of course, as it's an unreleased demo I am looking at OAkville Ontario schools on line with Evie - we are going over in May and looks like Adrian may h ave some job leads . . . . Wow! You sound like you're really set on doing this, Carri! Well, if you're on this continent, maybe I'll get to see you more often? Well, my two minutes are up -- must go off to the meeting. It's at a farm... wonder if I'll see any chickens there tonight...? dcdeb

Its exercise for my heart muscles when I go there!!!! Aaargggh! I can't believe you all chose a TUESDAY to get chatty! Without me! As for the lyrics, I lifted them out the lyrics thread, so don't know who wrote them out. I think the heir/air suggests its not an "English as first language" person!! Why am I here at 8.30am?!!! My elder daughter is very slow in the morning, and the taxi always has to wait for her. I kept telling her that one morning he would go away without her - she said "no, he wouldn't" - and this morning HE DID!!!! Its blowing about 60 mph winds out there, and snowing too, and the drive in with her was hairy!! Tree branches down all along the road. Not the best start to a morning!!
