You are not doubting that, are you? MFC will be huge then, just like Mika:wub2:

I really hope so.....a lot of musicians sometimes fade away....I don't want that to happen to Mika (unless he chooses, of course).

I don't want him to be a 'one hit wonder' if you know what I mean.

What I understood of him, he isn't planning on that. He still wants to be here and make music in 20 years time. Lucky us:thumb_yello:

Look at this: http://nl.youtube.com/watch?v=GiBB5dPYyJQ#pkVd6cQfqoo

These dutch people named their son after Mika, isn't that sweet?

I asked why the named the baby Mika:

Wat een lekker jochie. Gefeliciteerd met deze gezinsuitbreiding!

Mag ik vragen waarom jullie hem MIKA genoemd hebben?

What a lovely boy! Congratulations with this new familymember!

Can I ask why you called him MIKA?

answer:

waarom eigenlijk?

gr esther

When I was pregnant for 9 or 12 weeks, Mika the singer came into the music-world.

I immediatly liked the name, and we kept it from then on. By coincidence he has curls as well an me too. (not that we choose the name for that reason) but it would be fun if Mika got my curls.

A lot of people ask me if we choose the name because of the car-racer, but that is not it.

Why do you ask?

Gr. Ester

I tried to reply a couple of times, but Youtube seems unwillingly to post my reaction. I wanted to ask her to come to the MFC and tell her story about the name. Hope she eventually does.

He might be planning on making music for that long but will he still be popular, will he draw in more fans or keep only what he has now (us) and then will we fade away eventually?

I keep thinking about Savage Garden, who I was a huge fan on. I loved their music so much :wub2: they were so successful and then they split up and Darren released a few solo cd's but he never achieved the same success, basically (unfortunately) he is a has-been. And he has such a beautiful voice.

The music industry can be so fickle......and to have Mika become a 'has been' would be a tragic waste as we KNOW how talented he is. Not everyone can write music, sing their own songs and LOOK how he looks. The whole package :wub2:

Hey Oldlings!

Even if Mika is not as popular in 20 years, then we can have him all to ourselves at some small venue (casino). I would still be a fan...just an older one.

teehee....I am just dipping my toes....I am not quite an oldling yet.....although the rumours I have heard about filthy, dirty oldlings means I might fit in quite well, anyway :naughty:

I assure you I'm not filthy or dirty.

I take a shower every single day! :wink2:

Aw that's cute. :)

Baby boys are always so much cooler than girls.

With girls it's often hard to see whether they actually are girls.. but boys almost always look well.. boyish. :mf_rosetinted:

Erm, Diana: my girls were very cool when they were born:sneaky2: :roftl: But you are right: it was (with all three of them!) very difficult for other people to tell if they were boys or girls. Untill they were about 5 or so people mostly called them boys. It annoyed me, I was always correcting people.

Meanwhile, my son, who I thought looked VERY boyish, was always

mistaken for a girl -- even though I dressed him in blue! In fact, one

day, after I'd had him in for an Easter photo, he was wearing a little

blue suit with a bow tie -- and a woman said to me, "Oh, how adorable

SHE is!" :boxed::sneaky2:
