kk448
I'm so over that whiny angsty teen music Haha, me too. I hate it and a lot of people at my school listen to it. Most of them can't carry a tune and it bugs me so much. I can't listen to artists that can't sing, I don't care what the lyrics are or what the music sounds like. The rap and hip-hop is very unimaginative. All of the songs sound the same to me and a lot of artists will release a song and then release a remix as if it's completely different. Many artists "borrow" from each too, so you hear the same lyrics and the same beat over and over again.
lilmot
You say that as if American music is a disease or something. We have contributed some good music, you know! I won't disagree with you....however if you are forced to listen to the top 40, then it does seem a bit like a disease or something. Many of my favorite artists are American, just not mainstream. Kelzy
Daughtry couldn't be any further from Lemar. He's more like a lead singer of a rock band than a solo artist. Something like Bon Jovi, but his vocals are better than Jon Bon Jovi. Ahem... You're speaking about my husband there..

Many of my favorite artists are American, just not mainstream. I understand....it's just the way you said it made it seem like we've never put out anything good. Truth be told, I don't particularly like most of what is on the top 40, but I'm also willing to search out and find the gems that we have to offer. I think that's why many of us are here -- because we have sought out something different. Mika may eventually crack the top 40 in the US but he hasn't so far... he's not anything like most of the rap, hip-hop, Disney pop, etc. that's promoted so heavily... so I don't think we're really arguing. We are all mostly on the same page, musically, I think! dcdeb
mandilambi
I agree. I hope I didn't seem argumentative in my posts. It was mostly an observation on my part, I suppose.
Christine
Ahem... You're speaking about my husband there.. He's all yours baby! My new man is Michael Bublé. Think I'm off Mika now, nevermind Jon Bon Jovi.

Christine
Check out my hubby's ass shaking ability.. Michael Buble? really? what's possessed you? I took a picture of Jon Bon Jovi (circa 1987) in the most revealing pair of jeans I've ever seen. I'd post it on the board but I'd get banned. I'll have to scan it and send it to you. Michael Bublé...it's a Canadian thing. You had to be there...well, here. This is still my favourite ass shaker though.
