The Night the Earth Moved It was a dark and quiet night, As I lay in my bed, I felt so wide awake, “Is this going to be a sleepless night again?” To myself I now said, The time was ticking by, The seconds moving closer to 1 AM, Then suddenly, but I didn’t know why, There was such a shake, And in the distance a rumbling sound, My first thoughts were, “is this an earthquake!” Or something deeper underground, In this moment I was so afraid?
