1. Yes

2. Who knows...the song is about not having sex too soon€

3. She's quite busty

4. Freddie Mercury

5. BB is actually Bisexual...how do you know Mika is not gay?

6. It's a real club

7. You forgot Any Other World. Why should he only sing happy songs? Not everything in the world is sunshine, not even in Mika's:wink2:

Braces are suspenders.

Ufanism is not a word, and lollypop is about being careful when all guys want is sex. He wrote it for his cousin, or something.

Freddie is Freddie Mercury the late lead singer from Queen.

The butterfly lounge is in LA.

Mika might be gay, he hasn't said either way.

Mika writes pop songs. They aren't necessarily all happy.

The other I don't know about.

You're joking, right?

1. Yes, braces are suspenders.

2. The song "Lollipop" is a euphemistic ditty about sex, yes. But the word "lollipop" doesn't really mean "penis" if that's what you're asking.

3. The girl is wearing a blue top and she is busty.

4. Freddie is Freddie Mercury, the lead singer of the band Queen in the 70s and 80s.

5. You don't know that Mika's not gay. He could be. But Billy Brown isn't gay either, he's bi. Also, people sometimes write songs not about their own experiences.

5. The Butterfly Lounge is a real place.

6. Mika does a lot of sad songs too, listen to "Any Other World." Even "Lollipop" is kind of sad really.

Phonaesthetics

Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - Cite This Source

Phonaesthetics is the claim or study of inherent pleasantness or beauty (euphony) or unpleasantness (cacophony) of the sound of certain linguistic utterances. Poetry is often considered euphonic, as is well-crafted literary prose. Important phonaesthetic devices of poetry are rhyme, assonance and alliteration. Closely related to euphony and cacophony is the concept of consonance and dissonance.

The phrase cellar door has some notoriety as the reputedly most euphonic sound combination of the English language (specifically, when spoken with a British accent). A more recent example of an allegedly ugly-sounding word is blog

From this meaning should be distinguished the closely related but different concept of phonaesthesia, which does not refer directly to aesthetic attributes of sound, but to phonetic elements that are inherently associated with a semantic meaning. The term was introduced by J. R. Firth in 1930 "The phonæsthetic habits [...] and are of general importance in speech." Firth defined a phonaestheme as "a phoneme or cluster of phonemes shared by a group of words which also have in common some element of meaning or function, though the words may be etymologically unrelated."

Sub-phonematic euphony

In most languages, difficult to pronounce phonetic combinations will be adopted to allow more flowing speech, for reasons of ease of pronunciation rather than aesthetics. These adaptations will be sub-phonematic at first, but over several generations will lead to phonematically relevant sound changes

and ufanism is a word i think????

Kind of. Euphemism is how it's spelled. British slang can be confusing. When I first joined here I was like "What? Braces on your teeth? What are you talking about?!"

Here's what I know/ can say:

My mom is from England and I asked her and she said that braces are suspenders, whereas in North America, braces are metal things put on your teeth to make straighten them out. Random: She also said that pants, in England, are called trousers and pants, in England, mean underwear...

If you really listen to the "Lollipop" and the meaning behind it, I think that you will find out pretty soon that Mika isn't referring to a lollipop...

As for the "big bust", I'm not sure...but if you've ever seen a big girl (either in the hidden features on "Live in Cartoon Motion" or in one of his shows)...it is something to do with that, I'm sure...I think he's referring to a chesty woman...

Who is Freddie?!? You don't know who Freddie is?!? You've probably found out by now but I'll type it anyways...he's referring to Freddie Mercury, lead singer of one of the mose awesomest (yes I just said "most awesomest") bands ever...QUEEN!!!

I'm not 100% on this bu I believe Mika wrote "Billy Brown" for one of his friends...

The Butterfly Lounge is a real place:

http://www.butterflylounge.com/

As for Mika writing only "happy songs"...who said? He is, after all, human and has "happy" and sad moments in his life and that is reflected in his music.

Hope that helps:thumb_yello:
