leonita
I bought a hula hoop for the exercise, but can't do it very well. Today I'm giving an 8 minute informative speech (with visual aids!) on "Bali" for my speech 101 class. I have transparencies that get projected onto the screen, I was having bad dreams that they were flipped the wrong way & all the lettering was backwards & audience was snickering! AnnaMariaPetra
Good morning Oldlings Eilidh HAS broken her wrist - and as she has broken the same bone twice before they may have to operate and pin it. She has to get more x-rays done tomorrow, and get a proper plaster cast put on. They could only put a back-slab on last night as it was too swollen to put a proper plaster on it. She is in a lot of pain, but still smiling!! She was on a romantic walk with her boyfriend, in a beautiful wood, when she slipped on some wet leaves and slipped down an 8 ft drop. She hit her nose, which is not bad, but landed on her wrist!! Her b/f was really scared - but managed to get her back up. She was wet as she had landed in a small stream as well!! Never short of an adventure or two in my family!!! Ai Wendi, that isn't nice! I always have been told you can't break the same bone more then once: this proves it wrong. I hope she won't suffer too long. Good luck with it:thumb_yello:

As I said yesterday, I broke my wrist when I was 10 (slipped on some ice on the playground and went down hard) and it was such a pain -- not just *pain*, but since it was my right wrist, I couldn't write, couldn't play my clarinet, couldn't eat properly, brush my teeth -- I'm hopeless with my left hand! Hope she doesn't need the pin! I can't imagine it I have news! I have written a new piece..its a piece in progress! so happy! it has three melodies which work together as a unit and 3 seperate rythms that work together! its my second classical piece I have composed! will let you on the progress!! the two main themes I might write in Italian. Robertina! might need help in translating ! Suzanne, you are always so positive and sunshiny to read! It would be great to hear your music sometime! dcdeb

Eilidh is in a lot of pain this morning as she keeps moving her thumb and that makes her feel sick. She is meant to be working, but would not be able to fold the clothes and put them in the bag for the customers, so not sure what she will do. She also cant play her drum either, which is a major down as the competition season is starting soon. She also has her music Higher in the next few weeks!! Will see what happens when she goes back to hospital tomorrow!! She is really scared they will want to pin it though!! Its her left wrist she has broken though, and she is right-handed, so she can text and type with her right hand - and that is what matters apparently!!!
