I forgot this part Ruth sorry..........the chickens aren't relaly much to do with me to be honest..I just eat the eggs and admire Mika as he really is a lovely looking thing :naughty: He is pedigree you know :roftl:

Hi Christina!

I have no kids of my own, only cats.

but my mother had nine of us, six at home naturally!

and we were big, all at least 8 lbs!

 

That is a big family - and heavy too!!! :shocked: :shocked:

In the states they use mother's maiden names as first names a lot don't they? But they sound weird to us.

 

I never thought about it that way but you are right. My nephew is named Duncan, his momma's maiden name.

My 2nd was my heaviest at 8lb 12oz and I was ready to put in a complaint about that!

Surely not!

It must be only a matter of time before those names reach the uk too......

 

My second son is called Buchanan - which is an old west coast

name - but its almost always a surname here!!! :thumb_yello:

well, we're all quite tall, too.

shortest is 5'7", tallest 6'2", and my little brother is now 6'6"!
