Hi Christina!

what's new?

are you getting a lot of wind?

I've got 60 mph gusts howling outside my window,

I'm afraid if I look outside there will be polar bears!

Hi Leona! Yes, last night, when I took Mika:naughty: out, I was thinking it felt like a hurricane was coming! It's grey, rainy and cold today.

I read back. Yay for your presentation! Sorry about the rude kids. How are you feeling?

I'm OK. day off today, I got to sleep late.(until wind woke me up)

Making a list of all I want to have ready/tasks to do before the surgery.

I've decided not to try to take classes this summer, too.

It would just be too much.

It's kind of scary, my mother had the same bone spurs in her neck, had I think 2 surgeries, but she was 15 to 20 years older than I am now!

My neck is a much more advanced Oldling part than the rest of me!

Yea, my shoulder was hurting earlier this week and my husband reminded me my mom had the exact same thing. I think she was older than me too, when hers happened.

I am trying to keep my mouth SHUT on the Beijing thread.

Yea, typical oldlings talk, weather and aches and pains.:roftl::lmao: On that note, I think I have laryngitis.

sorry to hear that about the laryngitis.

I used to get that sometimes & the specialist I saw for my nose/sinuses told me it was from acid reflux! and he was right!

Mine's from my allergies. They were acting up earlier this week too and then I had to yell at the kids and dog and that did the vocal cords in. I used to loose my voice all the time due the allergies. Zyrtec took care of that for me.:thumb_yello:

Any plans for the weekend?

just studying. I have a Math presentation to do, which she recently informed me had to be done in PowerPoint. So I have to learn how to do that!

Persuasive speech in 2 weeks, I've decided to do this:

"To persuade my audience that that they should protest against Lake Shore Drive being extended North."

I already have a lot of info on it!

how about you? exciting plans?

My son has a cello lesson tomorrow mid afternoon and then we are going to the orchestra concert. That's about it. Nothing too exciting.

Oh! My son had his very first composition debut last night. It was nerve wracking for him but it turned out well.:blush-anim-cl:

Sounds like you have your persuasive speech all ready. You will do great because you will be passionate about it!:thumb_yello:

How's Lakeview?

it is kind of odd that they'd say no Officialness until Mika gets back from China. I mean, we're in Cyber space, right?

It's not like he's going to come around and visit us all in person anyway!!

well, I guess it sounds like a better reason for a delay.

better than just silence!

How's Lakeview?

You mean, how is it as a neighborhood to live in?

Really nice, cheaper than Lincoln Park. Only thing is, you're near Wrigley field, that area can get really congested in Summer when there are games...

so your son composed something & played it on his cello? or am I mixing them up. Wow, that takes a lot of guts to do! I really admire him!

Thanks for the link, Leona. Just helping my friend apartment hunt. It's really hard to do when you can't see the places in person.

My son plays the cello in the youth orchestra but the composition was not for his instrument. He worked with the composer in residence. My son's composition was for choir and piano. It was performed yesterday along with the other student composers' works. Did that make sense. Then Sat. we are going to see the real composer's premier of his work performed by the Green Bay Symphony Orchestra and Choir. Confusing, I know.
