Well, the house was my husband's parents' -- now that they've both passed, the house belongs to hubby and his 3 siblings. We each take a week each summer down there, and then assorted weekends together or separately. So this is a joint project, but it's her and her sister's plan, being done on their timetable -- completely blindsided us when we went down two weeks ago and they started ripping off wallpaper and cutting holes in the ceiling for recessed lights! What was meant to be a holiday weekend, turned into a work weekend and we never even saw the ocean At least this week we got to sit on the beach for a few hours... Having a total rest day - too much done at weekend!! I will make the dinner - that's all. No washing clothes etc - nothing!! You put your feet up girl, sounds like you deserve it. Yes, Wendy -- as Rose says, sounds like you earned a rest! She is a great help - and Eilidh is good as well, but her wrist is very painful just now, and she is wearing her splint, so trying not to ask her to do much. The break has healed ok I think, but it still gets quite painful if she uses it! I went to my Mother's this weekend to be taken care of. Yes, even an Oldling still wants her Mother. LOL It was nice and really kept my mind off things. Then, I got home and I had all kinds of urgent messages from my Father's Family. I couldn't get a hold of them because it was 1am in Mississippi. So, I called the Police and Hospitals. The Police ensured me that there were no deaths there since last Thursday. That was comforting since I spoke to my Dad on Friday. And, the Hospitals told me there wasn't anybody there by that name. Well, this morning, I found out that my Father was indeed in the Hospital. It makes me so angry that the Hospital didn't tell me and made me worry all night. Talked to my Father this morning and he's pulling out of it. My Dad was like, "We make quite the Father/Daughter team..huh? Both sickies." I swear, when it rains it pours.
