Sorry, I'll explain it better.

At the end of the Incredible Hulk movie, Ironman (played by Robert DowneyJr) appears, to announce he is recruiting various people with similar powers to start an organization to fight crime.

The organization turns out to be The Justice League of America.

It's a Marvel comics thing, you have to be a total geek to understand it.LOL!

Don't let them tease you, Rose -- I know what you're talking about!

I don't think of it as being a geek -- I think we're on top of

pop culture! :thumb_yello:

Maybe it's an oral exam? Sounds like....

And I will gently hug my Alex -- if he ever gets out of bed this

morning! LOL! It's 10:20 a.m. and there's still no sign of life

from upstairs... oh, the joys of being a teenager on holiday from

school! :naughty:

good morning everyone!

it is another gorgeous day here.

no rain, which is good, most of the Midwest is flooded!

yesterday it was so nice I walked over a mile.

it sounds like various injuries are on the mend, that's good.

what else is new?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAUREL!!

We don't have that here Robi - they go to their guidance teacher

to talk over their subject choices - I was at Eilidh's a few weeks

ago!! :thumb_yello:

The girls will have been in Birmingham for the British Championships

just two days before they come out to you - and Hazel will be playing

with her band!!!! :wub2: Not sure if she will be in the European or

the Worlds, she will be in one of them - and Eilidh is in them all. They

will really enjoy it with you - I can hardly believe both my girls are

playing at these big competitions!!! I will be at the Worlds in Glasgow

with them!!! :punk:

Ha ha thanks Deb;-)

I used to love reading all the Batman, Spiderman, Superman, Increible Hulk, Thor etc. comics when I was younger.

But my real passion was the Amazing Stories and Tales from the Crypt books. There was a filling station (still there but changed hands many times since then) which sold all those type of graphic novels, and I was always in there after school to see if the new ones had come out. I had a huge collection at one time, probably be worth a fortune now, but I don't have them anymore. I would love to be able to get my hands on them again, loved reading them.

Are both competitions held in Glasgow (the Euro and World), or just the World comp?

that will be my project for the day! Shopping is good therapy for anything, right?

Shopping cures all ills ( and if it doesn't, it certainly keeps your mind

off them!!!! :roftl:

other competitions always move round - but the Worlds are always in

Glasgow!! Its an awesome day - and I can hear pipe bands in my head for days afterwards!!! :naughty: I am very proud of them both - they look so

smart in their Pipe Band uniforms!!!

This is before prize-giving - without their jackets or hats!! :wink2:
