chickadee
I'm a big fan of musicals and my husband hates them. He's extremely proud of the fact that he's never seen The Sound of Music the whole way through. The only one I've seen live is Les Miserables, I was obsessed with Phantom of the Opera when I was at uni, but have never managed to see it and I absolutely love A Chorus Line (the movie). There aren't too many that I don't like, but I'm not as big a fan of Chicago as I thought I would be. No-one's mentioned Annie yet, but I'm such a sucker for that movie! Oh, and when I was a kid/teenager I was in a lot of musicals to do with church.

I was in Guys and Dolls in Perth when I was in my early 20's. It was just a small local production, but because it has the Salvation Army in it they were trying to make some of it be a bit "authentic" so a few members of my timbrel brigade went and played timbrel in some of the scenes. chickadee
you've actually played in a musical! that is so cool! I was in quite a few musicals when I was a kid and teenager. But they were all small things or tiny things lol! And all usually to do with church - either Salvation Army specific ones (like Glory, and Take Over Bid) or American Christian ones (like Friends Forever). Still.... Lots of good fun and a treasured part of my childhood.
