I didn't really hear him on the radio too much and never heard anything about him and it was only on one of the chart shows on Saturday night where they said something about him having been nominated for a lot of ARIA's and that he was coming home and I was like "Wtf?" Sparro pulled out the day before the festival.Most people there didn't even know, we did cause we were only doing the Sunday and we had checked V's site before leaving. But we had to tell the rest of the audience he wasn't coming ourselves, and most people were indeed very disappointed and angry. So I totally agree with you when you say it endangers their reputation and the support of fans. Besides, I find it quite rude of him to say "he had better things to do, i.e. being in the studio". On the one hand, I respect his honesty, at least he's not trying to come up with some sickness or whatever, but on the other hand he'd better remember the fans and the people who go to these festivals are the ones who buy his albums at the end of the day, so maybe he should get his priorities right.
