It does not spell chicken :mf_rosetinted::naughty:

No - my girls have never met her, but they have heard me talk

about her a lot, and they are confident girls!! They are going

for 10 days and they are REALLY looking forward to it. I have

never been able to afford a foreign holiday, and they have both

been away with the school for 5 days - but this is a huge

treat for them, and they paid the flights themselves from their

part-time jobs :biggrin2:

awww that's so nice for them! i bet the are twice as proud to say that they are paying for it themselves. i haven't taken foreign holidays either, well.. i guess i have if you count NY & florida as foreign lol i was born in the usa, so it is also my land.

Well, their oldest brother paid for them, and they are giving him the

money back - I got them a few clothes - but they have saved their spending money too, and so they know the value of working for something - and

getting the enjoyment from it. I am really proud of them. They usually go

shopping with their friends, and go to the cinema, but they have been

really disciplined!! :wub2:

how long is the flight? is it the first time they travel alone?

i remember about 7 years ago putting my 2 boys on the train to ottawa & i was all nervous lol (they were 15 & 11, hubby's brother was waiting for them at the train station & taking them to a football game) i really had nothing to worry about.

Heading off to sleep now :sleep_1:

The pain is not too bad just now - tablets have kicked in

for the moment - so think its time. Sweet dreams to all who

come in :huglove:

:bye:

EDIT : I have no curtains as the guys have not finished - so I may be

"watched" during the night by the odd sheep, cow or deer!! :naughty:

It is the first time they have been away on their own - Eilidh had to fly to Exeter from Edinburgh on her own when she was 14, but Hazel was not bothered when she knew I was not going with them - I think that made the holiday all the more exciting for her!! :naughty:

The flight is about 2 and a half hours. Eilidh has flown before, but

Hazel hasn't. She is very adventurous though - and loves all the hair-raising

rides at theme parks, so she should be just fine!! They are 16 and 14, and I

remember being that age - and feeling very grown up - so I just have to

smile and pretend I am not worried!! :naughty: Their dad is taking them to

the airport this end, and Robi will be waiting for them, then on the return

journey, Jamie, their oldest brother will be waiting for them, and will take them to my Mums for a few hours before they come back to the airport to get me on my way back from Amsterdam! :thumb_yello:

That sounds wonderful Robi - the girls will be over the moon :biggrin2:

Both the girls enjoy cooking - and I look forward to tasting their efforts :wink2:

I think, if Milan happens, they will be blown away - even just the thought

has them beaming huge smiles!!

They are all packed - and have their euros, passports, health cards etc

They are like a dog with two tails, and the envy of their class-mates :naughty:

Definatly not here now:shocked:

Just back from dog walk. I know we have discussed this endlessly but we really ARE addicited to this place aren't we:shocked: I was on this morning when I shouldn't have been..............I am now back in the house for five minutes and I am here again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:roftl: Mind you, having a puter that does not take ten minutes to warm up does help...or probably doesn't...because now I CAN come on for just two mins!

Yes thanks Robi....the kids were a delight.....in that I didn't even see them!:naughty: They just slept:thumb_yello: Little one was only 4 months...which is why I took the booking really.....but I didn't even get to give him a cuddle!

Wendi.................I hope you get the opportunity to get some sleep today then and that the pain killers start to actually work. I hope your doc realises that things HAVE to be better in a week!:naughty:

Bye lovely Oldlings:wub2:
