Evening Oldlings! I haven't been in this thread for a couple of days... it may take me a while to read back. Has anyone got a quick update for me on how Wendi got on at the doctor the other day and if there's any other news?

good morning oldlings!!!!

i went out for supper with michael (hubby) last night,

we didn't get home til about 11h00 p.m.

it was really nice. i came home, read poems :naughty:

and went to bed!

i am now enjoying a quiet cup of coffee... anybody want one?

it's hubby's birthday today... i'll have to be extra nice to him :naughty:

i read all the poems, some are funny as hell, some are cute, some are sweet... i don't think i have a poetic bone in my body. maybe i'll get inspired during the day. (do you guys think the mikagasmic thread is good for inspiration?) :roftl:

Hi Guylaine.

Yes, you better be nice to your hubby... oh and when I read Michael (hubby), my eyes misread it the first time as Michael Buble. I was really curious to know what you were doing out with him, but it wasn't that at all.

Um, no coffee for me, I don't drink it, but I might have a cuppa tea.

hahahaha noooooo hubby is NOT michael buble.

oh about that cuppa tea... i have tea, but nobody drinks it in this house.

so i'm sure the tea is at least 8 months old minimum!!!

i guess i should renew my stock huh? lol

Well, unless you were emily blunt masquerading as someone named guylaine, then I'm pretty sure your hubby isn't michael buble lol.

About the tea... just skip it. I don't drink that much of it anyway... I'm more of a glass of water girl actually.

But you may want to renew your stock if you want certain curly haired people to pop by and visit!

Hiya Robi - still very painful, but only awake once, to take painkillers!!

The new anti-inflammatories are making a difference :thumb_yello:

Got new anti- inflammatories, diazepam and stronger pain-killers.

I still cant use my arm. or move my shoulders, but the pain is more

bearable!!

The window men finished at 112 noon - but have not put my blinds,

curtains etc back up, and when I went out to look at the front of the

house I found they have pulled up my white picket fence round the

garden area in front of my bedroom window. So frustrating - can't

even put the curtains stc back up, or sort the fence!! Damn shoulder :boxed:

lol what are the chances of that??? he'll probably bring his own anyways!

my son's girlfriend has all kinds of fancy teas. she has flowers that she pour (spelling?) water on and it magically turns into a cup of tea.

as for me... i only like icetea lol

Woke at 4am - took tablets and then took a while getting back

to sleep as it was already daylight!! The bird song was pretty though :wub2:

Heya Wendi! I've just been reading back through the last couple of days. So sorry to hear that you spewed on the doc, but it sounds like it made him sit up and take notice. Yay for better medications! Are any of the pain killers slow release like MS Contin as mamacatt suggested? Has the doctor given you any kind of time frame for when you may be feeling better?

What a nuisance about the blinds etc! It's amazing how early the sun gets up in summer, particularly if you don't have anything to screen out the light. I remember when we moved house from Brisbane to Canberra, we had packers in to pack the house for us. Our curtains were down to be packed but I hadn't yet put up the ones that actually belonged to the house we were renting and when I went to do it, I found that the packers had already packed them as they were "out". (Too bloody right they were out, they were supposed to go back up!) We had to sleep without curtains, which wouldn't have been so much of a bother except we lived right across the road from a high school and our bedroom was at the front of the house. No lying in bed, having a snooze!

so long as he turns up, it wouldn't bother you if he brought his own now, would it? hahaha.

Eurgh, no fancy teas for me and no ice tea either. I'm just a white with one when I do have it (and I'd rather have a tea bag than leaves floating in my cup! Shhh, don't let Sienna see, she's a tea fanatic!)

seems like at least you are getting some relief and long awaited sleep, even if it's not 8 hours in a row, it's better then at the beginning of the week.

now you have to be patient for everything to get better

that's always hard, especially when you are a mom, there is always so much to do!:wink2:

No slow release - but if I take the diazepam four times a day, with

the last dose at bedtime, then that should relax the muscles enough

to let me sleep through!! It will take a few days to start working,

so I will just wait!! He said the slow release tablets would have an

adverse reaction with my epilepsy medication!!

Wendi if your sides can take it, go hang out in the poems for Mika Thread for a while. That will brighten even the darkest day. Everyone is writing brilliant stuff, and it's inspiring long dormant writng skills even in a few oldlings. A big thanks to babs and the bottle of red last night:naughty:

what does that mean "an adverse reaction with your epilepsy medication"?

they will not work? that's not good!

my father had 2 epileptic seizures in the last 5 years. he is 82. they call it nocturnal epilepsy, as it only happens when he is asleep. he was so upset as he never had to take pills before, not even for highblood pressure. but the doctor made him understand that if he doesn't take his medication... he would remove his driver's license. that made him not argue and take the pills lol
