what does that mean "an adverse reaction with your epilepsy medication"?

they will not work? that's not good!

my father had 2 epileptic seizures in the last 5 years. he is 82. they call it nocturnal epilepsy, as it only happens when he is asleep. he was so upset as he never had to take pills before, not even for highblood pressure. but the doctor made him understand that if he doesn't take his medication... he would remove his driver's license. that made him not argue and take the pills lol

I lost my licence for 16 months - have to have a clear 12 months before

applying for licence again!! My epilepsy medication stops me taking a lot of things!! I have calcium channel blockers instead of beta-blockers for

my heart problem, and they has to be checked against all the other tablets

I have for various things!!

No slow release - but if I take the diazepam four times a day, with

the last dose at bedtime, then that should relax the muscles enough

to let me sleep through!! It will take a few days to start working,

so I will just wait!! He said the slow release tablets would have an

adverse reaction with my epilepsy medication!!

That's not so good! It really does become a big muddle of "which drugs will do the job but not counteract or adversely affect all the other meds."

all medications seem to have effect on others don't they?

hubby has to take medication for high blood pressure & he is also diabetic.

hopefully my kids won't take after his side of the family!

My medical conditions are not hereditary - so thats great!!

My sister died of breast cancer though - so the girls and I have

to be aware of that - but thats all!!

I'm talking in about three threads atm as well as reading back on the Oldlings that I've missed, so I'm gonna temporarily say ta ta, as I'm getting confused about where I'm at! Have a lovely day/evening/sleep/whatever/choose the most applicable!

my son's girlfriend just sent me this email.... i thought i'd share with with you oldlings. you may have seen it before, but it's worth a 2nd reading :roftl:

CALMNESS IN OUR LIVES

I am passing this on to you because it definitely works and we could all

use a little more calmness in our lives. By following simple advice heard

on the Dr. Phil show, you too can find inner peace. Dr Phil proclaimed,

'The way to achieve inner peace is to finish all the things you have

started and have never finished.'

So, I looked around my house to see all the things I started and hadn't

finished, and before leaving the house this morning, I finished off a

bottle of Merlot, a bottle of Zinfandel, a bottle of Bailey's Irish Cream,

a bottle of Kalhua, a package of Oreo's, the remainder of my old Prozac

prescription, the rest of the cheesecake, some Doritos, and a box of

chocolates.

You have no idea how freaking good I feel right now !!

Please pass this on to those whom you think might be in need of inner

peace....

I am ok - drugged up to the max :naughty:

The girls left yesterday at 1pm, for Birmingham. They get back

tomorrow sometime, then head off to Italy on Monday!! :punk:

I really miss them - but they have both been on the phone, and

have both played. They are waiting for the results (about 5.30pm)

They come straight back to their dads, from Birmingham, and he

will take them to the airport!! So - I probably wont see them.

Eilidh was not too happy about going to the pipe band comp as she

knows I cant dress properly etc but her band need her to make the

proper numbers for side drummers. They already had to pull out one

of the competitions when she had her broken wrist!!

I can fashion clothes out of binbags if need be :naughty:

I am not sure - a couple of hundred miles anyway - it was going

to take about 9 hours bus journey!! Its the British Pipe Band comp!! :)
