JackViolet
I don't think you should bother counting Kata, 'cause you obviously have a very good internal sense of rhythm, but poetry snobbery is not poopy! Or rather it's not snobbery. Shoddy rhythm is as bad as shoddy rhyme, and a poem that rhymes but has terrible meter or messed up stress makes you cringe to read it. (Or at least me. ) This is not to say that poems with irregular meter or stress are bad, but the irregularity has to be carried through with knowledge, if that makes sense. That's why I almost never write poetry, too. I don't have a natural sense of stress and meter like Kata, and it's just too hard--all of my verses come out haphazard and painful-ish. --Jack

SuperTwat
I must disagree, because - you see.His butt is flat, there's 0% fat. The pants falling down is not gravity. He's just teasin', there ain't no squeezin'. The No A Team returns. Got no chicket, WTF was thatA pink sunglasses day? Must've been. xlindee
Ohmybanana! I love this thread:biggrin2: I literally had to tear from laughter, reading all of these incredible poems:lmfao: I especially like Kata and Blue_Sky's ones. Oh, and about the wand poems:
Ruth
I should have known you would feed my haiku hunger, Blue Sky! OK... now what about limericks? I didn't see any. There was a young singer named Mika Whose sound was rather unique-a Some thought he was great And he moved some to hate But I'd follow him from here to Tanganyika. dcdeb Mine was a limmerick rhythm but nobody commented :-(
Ruth
My two penn'th: With Mika I could be in love It makes me think, 'Heavens above' Though I'd like hugs and kisses, I can't be his missus I'd adopt him if push came to shove! boom! boom! Limmerick rhythm but I couldn't work with 'there was a young man called Mika' or anything similar. cos I am really not his type oh crap life is unfair. How true, how true There once was an arse, quite cute I supposewe don't know if shaven or waxed twas owned by a wizard, who used it as most to sit upon when he relaxed but sometimes the wizard was shakin' his stuff and something quite odd became clear it's said to be true, if you looked close enough a sunbeam emerged from his rear so people would gather from there and from here to get a good look at the man according to rumours all those who got near came home with a beautiful tan Kata! Too funny But most of all I hope, That the show is bloody fantastic, It’s gonna take a lot you know, To impress us, as we are so unenthusiastic:mf_rosetinted: And you Jemma! Marilyn Mastin
A rainbow of light Is soaring so high Glistening in his violet sky He comes along He sings his songs He brings the rainbow down to Earth For you and me A sight to see He could be brown He could be blue His colours paint this world anew Opening eyes Filled with surprise His concerts are the highlight of the year His voice is awesome, strong and clear All of these things And the man that we claim Are all summed up In one four-letter name MIKA
chickita
LMAO! You guys are all brilliant! Christine, Bab, Kata, M4L13, Kavi, Jemmalee - and eveyone else, too - this thread is awesome. :roftl: My contribution: We talk about his body hair and of his lollipop; we talk about infections and when the cancelling might stop. We find ourselves so curious About which gender does he shag And if he was trying to tell us By appearing in Out mag. We wonder if he'll wow us When he performs in Paris, France We wonder if he'll ever wear those Glastonbury striped pants. It has now been four long months since we saw him singing live So much we've done to pass the time And magically, it's flown by! We saw him with a new haircut in an interview from Beijing We saw him win a Novello award Now, that's an awesome thing. We saw him at a party where a photog hit the ground Yes, Mika was a sweetie And helped her come around. And who could forget, on April first I laughed 'till I was crying It seems Mika ran off to India To take up yogic flying. But now he's back to sing once more You must admit, he has a great voice I think, once some new vids surface More than a few of us will rejoice. So fellow MFCers The future's not so bleak The guy that we think is pretty great will be back in less than a week. Mana that made my day!!! Mafaaaa
You changed my life and all things I know When I look back, I see how important you were Thank you, for the colours and brightness you show And now I need you, but you aren't there. You made me smile, think and cry all at the same time You made me grow up and I'm so happy now I still growing and improving and you just move, just shine So important and I need so, but how? Could I just touch you, like in my dreams? Could you just sing me something? Could I just hear the others screams? Could I be kissing you and not just imagining? I want you and now you're closer. Just a few days and I'll see you. Maybe I won't talk to you, but I'll be happier And I know you'll forget me, but I won't.

Kavi
Is he straight or is he queer, some say we just don't care. But do we really not care, for we analyse even his hair. Jumping up and down on the stage, While we all try to gaze. His granny curled hair bobbing up and down, even when he sings his song. Is it chicken or is it ticket, oh that existential question wouldn't you just answer it? But it's ok, that's not your duty, just sing your songs and look like a beauty. Oh Mika cutie, what have you done to poor Lukey. We all bitch and moan, so that new keyboarder better be a clone. I cannot wait for the new and improved website to be running, then I wouldn’t have to do any stalking. But please don’t mind me, Just beware of….OhhLookie! Rainbow
I've been looking for this thread for sssooooooooooooooo loooooooooooooong... so let's see what I can do: Sometimes your smile Makes the stars Shine brighter! Sometimes when you sing The flowers listen to you And they think: "God, If I only were a girl For I'm so in love with his damn curls! And If I were to be a girl I would go all over the world to see him dancing and also doing a little thing of his called shwinging!":wub2: And sometimes when you dress SO NOT LAME the Rainbow's colours Fade to grey and when it couldn't get them back we assume it's just a lack of ambition as it goes after it's intuition but in the end it goes thinking: "My, this guy's clothes are so bright! I wonder if I'll ever see the light again 'cause this guy competes me so eager that he might aswell put his finger on the trigger!" But let's don't get that vicious 'cause in the end everything is basically pointlessly delicious! so..what do you think? All the MFC girls, And all the MFC men Couldn't put Mika together again! :lmao: My sad attempt:naughty:: There once was this place on the internet It was called the MFC It certainly is boring on there I've bet, but I went there and OMG(ee) I began to spend a lot of time on there and became a very addicted one It was very great in the beginning, but later things went wrong Cancellations, illness, and other bad circumstances, were things we had to deal with. and some of the awkward dances, made us feel like sh*t. So we had our ups and downs but no one could take away, that amazing year I've spend, on the MFC!
