In theory Mika can do whatever he wants. In practice it took him a month to work out where the registration page is on his blog so I don't expect him to break into my PM box any time soon. if you aren't arty or sycophantic There's a phrase you don't hear every day. I am quite interested to see what he likes, but am finding that I don't like it. Me either. I always knew this was the case, but seeing a daily reminder of it sort of drives the point home. I like the Jim Woodring stuff, the Beatles artwork and maybe I'd like the music. I haven't listened to any of it yet. In general Mika's taste in current pop is sort of hit and miss with me. I enjoy most of what Mika recommends, especially where artwork goes--or at least I see the appeal. I don't necessarily LOVE it, but most of it is pretty neat! I prefer Tegan and Sara to the Wonder Pets thing though. Like I said, I love children's stuff, but I like dark, melancholy children's stuff. Or else I like bright and boppy things, but I prefer them a little more retro then, kind of kitschy and and innocent and nostalgic. As for the last blog, I think Aldrige's art is quite beautiful, although not quite my thing in terms of what I'm most drawn to in art. But I still enjoy looking at it, and think it's gorgeous.
