I think it's cool to see what inspires him and it introduces me to a lot of things, I would never have known about. That's how I feel too. Some of the stuff'll stay with me and I'd read it if it wasn't Mika. Although I do think it gives us almost as good an insight into MIka as if he was posting opinions and activities. I'd be interested in a blog that was all about his personal thoughts and activities (yes, I'm that sad) but I'd think worse of him for being that self obsessed. Wendi Posted August 8, 2008 Share Posted August 8, 2008 It's about a girl who marries a man with a blue beard in order to save her family (I think that's how it goes?) and then he goes off on a trip, leaving her his set of keys, but tells her not to go into the cellar...or is it a tower? I haven't read it in a while.Anyhow, she naturally gets too curious and opens up the room. Inside, she finds all his previous wives who "mysteriously disappeared", all murdered and nailed to the walls. The room is covered in blood. In shock, she drops the set of keys, and some blood gets on the room key. She tries to wash it off, but nothing works. Once she gets the stain off one side, it reappears on the other. Bluebeard comes home and asks for his keys back. She reluctantly gives them to him, hoping he wouldn't notice, but of course, he does. He says he has to kill her because she knows his secret. He prepares to behead her with his sword, but (and this is where my memory gets really vague) she does something to put him off and also somehow alerts her family of her trouble. Her brothers show up just as he's about to kill her and they slice off his head and put it on a spike. The End. Yeah, that rhyme... I used to get told this at night - bedtime - and it gave me nightmares for a long time!! Some parents have a strange idea of bedtime stories!!
