:naughty: I will

I'm just worried they are going to keep it extra long thinking there's going to be drugs are something illegal in it:shocked:

Did you take pictures yet?

I thought that was my problem too... I've watched enough Border Security (a TV show based in Aussie airports) to know they'll search your parcels...

They put in a little piece of paper that said they'd opened it.. as if I couldn't tell by the yellow tape on it that said it had been opened!

It's just about 20 minutes until 10pm here. Those pesky time zones :naughty:

I'll wait, I'll wait :naughty:

I'm home from TAFE, but I have to work at the community technology centre... Mum's supposed to be there around 3:30, so I might take off after then... It's 2:50 pm here... I'll try not to keep you guys in too much suspense...

Okay then... I have a list of everything I got in my Mika Mail... and pics!

Here's what I got:

A lei

A blow up hand (it's the colours of the Dutch flag)

A toy flower (my niece will love that I'm sure)

Hitkrant magazine (ft a quiz about Mika - I'll have fun trying to translate it!)

Shoe decorations

A sticker

Some money (a 1 Euro coin, and a 20 cent, 5 cent and2 cent coin)

A little toy chicken

Mini toasts with sprinkles (I'm going by the pictures on the box)

A little shield thing that says Amsterdam

Lots of lollipops

A flashing light sticker that you put on your phone

A teddy bear flashing light thing... it goes on your phone too...

A little figurine of a boy and girl kissing and it says Holland

Two bottles of alcohol

A packet of lollis... they look like bricks (I'm going by the little cartoon on the front!)... it says: Ouderen horen ook daarbij schuimblokken (would it be safe to assume that blokken means block?)...

Something that looks like a cake... it says Gezond Lekkere Ontbijtkoek (I assume that will give me enough information to know what it is?)

A long stick thing that looks edible (De grote oosterhoutse kaneelstok) - my guess is gingerbread but I'm probably wrong...

Glowsticks

Chocolates (I know chocolates when I see them!)

Lollies that smell like licorice...

Other hard lollies (says boterwafeltjes - they look like waffles)

A dummy/pacifier lolly

Coffee flavoured lollies (I know what these are cause it says coffee on the packet!)

A little key charm sort of thing... He's a little boy...

Lolly bracelets

Mini waffles (it says stroopwafels)

Oldtimers lollies (it says de echte stavorense stoofpeertjies drop)...

Dutch spiced cookies (I know what these are cause they sell them at work! Never tried them though)

A flashing rose (you wear it around your wrist)

Sponge fingers (they sell these at work too..)

A flashing heart

a keyring that says Roermond (it's going straight on my keyring with the ones from musicfreak)

Now for pics!

The parcel (I blocked out mine and Biekje's addresses)

TheParcel.jpg

The picture she drew (I'm gonna put it on my wall with my pics!):

The food:

These I'm not quite sure what they are:

Unsure.jpg

De Ruijter: we put that stuff on bread, with butter in the morning for breakfast (and lunch).

The black stuff if liquorice.

The brown stick is a cinnamon stick.

Snelle Jelle: ginger bread, we eat that in the morning, sometimes with butter on top.

The yellow/pink thing are called "foamblocks", it's candy and tastes sweet and nice. It's like marshmellows, but then in a block:roftl:

Here;s some explanation:

Mini toasts with sprinkles (I'm going by the pictures on the box)

Thats probably the stuff we put on bread in the morning, only the stuff thats ON the bread, is in the pack:naughty:

A packet of lollis... they look like bricks (I'm going by the little cartoon on the front!)... it says: Ouderen horen ook daarbij schuimblokken (would it be safe to assume that blokken means block?)...

It's the foamblocks that are a bit like marshmellows, but then hard stuff. Ouderen horen ook daarbij means that older people also belong to it. And with that they mean that also adult people like this stuff. And yes blokken means blocks.

Something that looks like a cake... it says Gezond Lekkere Ontbijtkoek (I assume that will give me enough information to know what it is?)

Its ginger bread

A long stick thing that looks edible (De grote oosterhoutse kaneelstok) - my guess is gingerbread but I'm probably wrong...

That's the cinnamon stick and is edible

Lollies that smell like licorice...

?????????did I put in lollies with licorice taste? I'm not sure...o you mean Oldtimers? Those are licorice thingies with pear in it.

Other hard lollies (says boterwafeltjes - they look like waffles)

Those are so nice, butter waffles.

Coffee flavoured lollies (I know what these are cause it says coffee on the packet!)

Typical Dutch Haagse Hopjes. It's from The Hague, originally and tastes like coffee indeed.

A little key charm sort of thing... He's a little boy...

Lolly bracelets

Erm...it's candy bracelets. Do you call candy lollies there?

Mini waffles (it says stroopwafels)

Syrup waffles. Most foreign people adore those:thumb_yello:

Oldtimers lollies (it says de echte stavorense stoofpeertjies drop)...

Ah that's the oldtimers...ok. Yes licorice with pear (so whats that other stuff then?)

a keyring that says Roermond (it's going straight on my keyring with the ones from musicfreak)

That's where I was born and where I still live:naughty:

Hitkrant magazine (ft a quiz about Mika - I'll have fun trying to translate it!)

Coolness!

I'm thinking I'll have to go on the net and translate it...

Ooooh cinnamon stick! And I love gingerbread... I'll have to try out the De Ruijter stuff... bet it's nice!

Now, I have to ask... What sort of alcohol did you get me? I'm especially curious about the brown stuff... do you mix it with anything?

What does need translation, because I will do it after uni (need to go in couple of mins). O you mean the whole magazine? We don't care about the magazine here, it was only the mika stuff that got our interest hahaha

It's all nice and you need to try it all:naughty:

Brown stuff? It's somekind of dropshot...licorice taste. You can have it like this. I don't think we mix it with anything. Just a shotglass and go for it:naughty:

The other stuff is jenever.:thumb_yello:

*bites into foam block*

OMG it's delicious!!!

Even Dad said it was nice!

It's not going to last long!

It is nice:naughty:

We don't call candy candy... we call them lollies... same thing essentially..

I was talking about the stuff in the plastic bag...

*bites into liquorice* Yep, that sure is liquorice... though it tastes a lot different to liquorice we have... a real strong taste... and bitter... I should get some liquorice from here and send it to you...
