I don't think they were deleted in purpose, Mika mentioned once that there were problems with comments being approved because of the spam they had to delete. That's what Mika's spam button is for.. Let him decide what stays and what goes. Write your comment, whether it's nice, neutral or nasty, read a few and then piss off. Stop getting so worked up over other peoples ramblings.(not directed at you Christine) I'm not dictating, just imploring people to use some common sense and stop ruining it for everyone, including Mika. He's not reading and moderating those comments - because people insist on posting over and over and over again. Consequently tons of repetitive and irrelevant comments come through and many comments related to the blog get deleted. You're right, I make my comment and then piss off. But I wish it wasn't like that. I think the blog could be useful and interactive for us and for Mika if it wasn't littered with a bunch of attention seeking nonsense. It actually makes me embarrassed to call myself a fan and to post in the same place. I don't want to be associated with that which is why I never bothered with his MySpace. I think we all express what we want from the blog, but every now and then people are dictating. Not you. I most definitely didn't mean you. You're just expressing. And I wish it was more interactive too, but to save myself scrolling through completely pointless comments I just do as I said earlier and what you've been doing too. I knew the party would be over as soon as everyone else could make comments so I made the most of it for the precious hours I had before that happened. I liked it better when we had to register. I'm in agreeance over the attention seeking being a spoiler. It would be nice to be able to read consecutive relevant opinions in his comments.* But, I look around, and I see the myspace & youtube comments and I think "It'll never happen". *(I guess this won't happen whilst comments need approving though) People need to stop asking whether Mika reads their comments, and start asking themselves if the comments they've been leaving were even relevant to his blog. I'll admit that it was a surprise. I had to sit down for a while. Make a cup of tea and sit with my back to the drawing, turning now and then to see if there really was a menacing, indigenous gentleman making scary hands at our girl. And then of course I remembered that she's just made of paper, as is he. Paper which can be folded and torn, cut and stained and punctured, embellished and decorated. I told Mika that he'd painted me into a corner, literally and metaphorically, and he very kindly offered to come up with some ideas and I very politely said, "HANDS OFF, this one's mine!" Seriously I'm seeing more Beavis there than FD. And yeah, generally if I don't have something positive to say I don't make a comment. If he ever starts soliciting opinions on things like music or video clips it will be a different story. For now he is just sharing his interests and I don't think that merits any kind of criticism.
