ncsuemme Posted July 20, 2009 Share Posted July 20, 2009 Ok, so besides generally loving this song because 1. It's new Mika. 2. It's MIKA!!! I have to give a few thoughts... It sounds a touch more produced pop than his last album in my opinion. His older stuff was crazy poppy but it seemed a bit simpler. His voice sounds more produced on this one - I also think it's partially the choral vocals on top, too. But, no one can hide Mika's lyrics, which is one reason I absolutely love him. His lyrics hold so much to them, and the fact that he does that in straight poppy fun just makes me so happy. I guess after seeing him 'acoustic', I'm intrigued to see this performed live. If he doesn't grab this opportunity, he never will. He deserves to rule the airwaves in the late summer / autum like Katy Perry did last year. ...
