Maybe I shouldn't do it now, after the loads of coffee I had and after I got up at 5:42 am. We Are Golden, eh? It sounds happy. But, it's a happy-sounding-sad-song-with-a-meaning. I hope he didn't hurt himself. I mean, he sings "I hurt myself" but I hope that's just saying, not doing. Because it hurts to hurt yourself. I don't want him to be hurt. Okay, it probs just fit in with the rest of the lyrics, but I am worried. Okay, that didn't make sense. So, I kinda like the song but I think it's weird. It sounds so typical pop-ish but also typical weird Mika-ish. Okay, forget it, I think I'm just being weird. Just do it . it's totally safe (and quite necessary). Just say yes to everything, accept, it will take you to the adobe website (the makers of flash), install it, and then restart Firefox or explorer or whatever. I bet there is one guy whose eyes are brimming whenever he listens to it. It's a beautiful love song, as touching as HMDYLM, in a different way of course I myself am not partial to the jazzy piano part of it. It kind of ruins the magic . But it makes me giggle. u made me giggle:teehee: hv been listening to this song for who-knows-how-many times, but still, everytime when it comes to that part, i juz think of some of u guys' posts, as well as some comments in Perez's site saying "i get annoyed by how he says GOLDEN":roftl: okay, so no time for me to read all the pages either. but i've got to say, last morning when i woke up, plugged in my earphones n listened to the song under perfect sunlight and blue sky with fluffy clouds, i found life so enormously brightened at that moment!! it's both energetic and emotional. when i listened to the lines "now i'm sitting alone, i'm finally looking around....", suddenly i wanna cry.............. our boy can reli catch that tiny bit of adolescent sentiment n deliever it in a vibrant way. though it's still kind of overproduced, i luv WAG and MIKA. Which prompted some serious p*** taking as they know how much I like Mika. Add embarrassed to the above list Ok, so now after hearing it what feels like a gazillion times (thanks Radio1) I can appreciate (?) its catchiness, but the whole "we are gawwwlden" (perfect description btw) bit makes me cringe. What really worries me is, was this really the best track he had on the album? After such a long break this single needed to be as spectacular as Grace Kelly was, and surely most of us can admit it's just not? I was really hoping he would come out with something a lot better both lyrically and musically and a lot less teeny pop, just to show all his doubters that he could. Instead this is the worst example of sacharine pop so far and will just confirm the opinions of those who see him as a tacky kiddies pop star. Sorry. No, really I am.
