I have no idea how to explain this for you in a way you actually would understand... I think because I have no idea how the school system in you country is, but I'll try at least In Norway we choose which school we want to go to after the 10 first years (when we're 15/16 years) - there are different directions you can choose to go, like music, theatre, electronics, dancing etc. - I really wanted to be a veterinarian when I was 15 so i chose to go to a school where I would learn about animals. So now I'm in the last part of my third and last year at this school, and the line I've chosen to take the last two years is called (directly translated ) "the dog line", where I learn a lot about dogs and their behavior and so on. This is a normal school with regular subjects as all other schools, I just have dogs as a chosen subject instead of chemistry for instance. I also get the requirement I need to take almost all the other education I want to later, without having to study more after this year - so I still can choose to be whatever I want to, which is a good thing since a veterinarian isn't my first choice anymore So It's in my dog-class I'm having this oral test! We have maaaany highschools that are you know - just ordinary,where you study normal and basic stuff. But we also have some specialised highschool for specially gifted pupils!
