MikaMadLuke
She told me to write a song that didn't make us sad, a song that everyone would love, She said I'd be rich, a millionaire/billionaire, she said I shouldn't end up like my father did, and that I should be proud....... Nice translation, Stranger!

A. Clay
"In France, he's bigger than Johnny Hallyday and fancy cheese put together -- so big that his show there in July 2008 was staged in front of 55,000 fans at the Parc des Princes Stadium in Paris and featured $1.3 million worth of acrobats, clowns and associated stage production." http://www.reuters.com/article/2009/09/19/us-mika-idUSTRE58I09520090919 . . . I think he's just giving something back to France. They've embraced him so much and even put his statue in the waxworks . . . France and the French people have been very good to MIKA. "One good turn deserves another" I think also. guylainem123
I´ll ask him in 7 days who is it about He already said it was his mom. Though the lyrics say "you'll end up like your brother" ... i doubt that's Fortune, but more a figure of speech Totally agree with you Guy! I love the song, catchy, funny and makes you want to dance bossy mothers! Am I the only one after all who isn't happy with the song? Just a thought that popped into my mind: Does somebody try to land a summerhit? The sound, the melody, the 'dance-stuff'... Just thinking... i always thought that Blue Eyes could have been a summer hit. i can totally see myself dancing to this I don´t know why you dislike the song I think French people deserve him more than British ones, sometimes.. hmmm let's not turn this into something it isn't please? comments like this one are not needed, thank you! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VON6NqXiz7I Not sure where this come's from, or maybe you've already seen it. Pretty funny video for Elle me Dit . Loving the new song BTW It's been pulled out already

Zahra
Yes I mentioned this meaning too. Gai can mean "very happy, excited" or "tipsy, merry" Well, as a French speaker, I understood "gai" as "gay". After all the question is: "What's up with you? You look so stuck up/uncomfortable, are you high or gay, you'll end up like your brother". "Happy" jut doesn't work in that meaning. And "tipsy" isn't a common meaning at all. "Gay" is actually more common as a meaning than "happy" nowadays. Of course, that's coming from a Quebecer's perspective. French people can have other interpretations.
