forevermika
about this whole Georgia thing... I write poems sometimes and I've noticed that on occasion my brain will get infested with a certain word for a period of time and it ends up in a lot of my writing. bonzaboy
Been listening to this one a bit... I think I hear in the second verse: Could you believe The same old families *something* That you've *something* all before Her name was April But she was [hateful?] He wanted to make her want to Walk right out the door

It has some kind of 60s feeling attached to it..and has several meanings, too. A state, a country, a female name. The song wouldn't work with Washington DC, would it:cool:
neeve272
I love this song! I think it's my favourite. About the title, well, in this vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T9SQj_YmqsQ (I'm sorry, I don't know whose it is) Mika introduces it as Good Gone Girl.... (at 0:32 ) so it has to be correct I think!

I really like this one, I can't hear it well though unfortunetly, so can't make out hardly any lyrics but apart from what's already been said, I can hear the following: SHE HAD PNEUMONIA, CALIFORNIA, CHAMPAGNE TOWERS, SUGAR DADDY, AND that SHE WAS 17 WITH A GOOD GIRL DREAM in there somewhere lol, not necessarily in that order. I can't wait to hear it propely and know the lyrics, I love lyrics of a song just as much and sometimes even MORE than the tune etc. Edited April 17, 2009 by sparkly1

Thanks Kata -- and it is like a jigsaw puzzle I find if I write down what I think he's singing, and then look at that and try to get an idea of what the song is actually about, then my head tries to fit words to the sounds I'm hearing... I love listening over and over. When I was young, it's how we wrote the lyrics for everything Exactly, Ruth -- me too! Guess that's why I like the challenge of doing this here! guylainem123
I love listening over and over. When I was young, it's how we wrote the lyrics for everything oh i remember doing that too! then this magazine came out every month and had lyrics to popular songs. (i think it was called Hit Parade) i'd save my money to buy that too. don't forget, i spoke mainly french at that time, so understanding was a big issue as well it kept me busy for hours!!! England
I was listening to the song a few times and this is what I heard: "could you believe it? a same old story ______ _______ her name was Georgia and she was gorgeous and she had _____to get to know hey whats a good girl like you doing in this crazy world? so she don't know... ________ oooooOOOooooOOooo Good Gone Girl.... would you beleive me? the same old story _______ her name was sacred but she was hateful he doesn't want to make her walk right out the door ________ _______ whats a _____ doing in this world? she don't know ___ she was only 17 in a dream ooooOOOoooOO Good Gone Girl ooooOOOooooOO Good Gone Girl OOOoooOOoooO Good Gone Girl" I couldn't hear alot of it, so the "_______" are the blanks:naughty: don't really think this is right though:bleh: its really interesting to see what other people hear from just listening to the song:D
